Entrance Examination for Phase-4 Admission in M.Sc. (Statistics) for the academic session 2025-2026

All students seeking admission into Department of Statistics, VNSGU, Surat for the academic year 2025-26 are hereby informed that the Fifth Entrance Examination for admission to M.Sc. (Statistics) programs will be held on:

• Date of Exam: 11th August, 2025 (Tuesday)
• Venue: Department of Statistics, Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat-Gujarat.
• Entrance Exam Fee: Rs. 100/- (to be paid online) (non-refundable)
• Reporting Time: 10:45 A.M.
• Exam Time: 11:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M.
• Total Marks: 60 marks

Instructions (for Payment):

• Payment of Entrance Exam Fee: Students must pay the entrance exam fee of Rs. 100/- by scanning the given QR code.
• Registration After Payment:
  - After successful payment, students are required to fill out the Google Form to complete their registration for the entrance test.

  - Submission of the form is mandatory to appear in the examination.
• Last Date for Registration: 10th August, 2025 before 10:00 P.M.

Instructions (for Exam):

• Kindly bring your mobile phone as exam will be conducted online.
• Also keep identity proof (like Aadhar card, Pan card or any other) for verification purpose.
• Students are instructed to keep a hardcopy of admission form and screenshot of the fee payment.
• Also keep your marksheets and original documents with one self-attested copy for the document verification.
• On same day you must complete your document verification process after completion of your entrance exam.

Eligibility Criteria:

• A Students is eligible for the M.Sc. (statistics) program under the Faculty of Science if Statistics / Applied Statistics/ Data Science / Dada Analytics has been studied as a major/principal, or Mathematics as a major/principle subject and Statistics / Applied Statistics / Data Science / Data Analytics as a minor/subsidiary in the B.Sc. Program.
• Admission will be based on the student's performance in the B.Sc. Program.

Regardless of the major/principal or minor/subsidiary subject/discipline chosen in the UG program, a student is eligible for admission to the M.Sc. (Statistics) program under the Faculty of Science if they qualify the university-level entrance examination, provided that there are available seats after the admissions based on the criteria in point (1).
Admission will be based on the student's performance in the university-level entrance examination.

The department offers two academic programs. Students who wish to appear for the entrance examination for both programs must pay the exam fee separately for each course and fill out separate Google Forms accordingly.
