UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSION NOTICE
Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) Degree Programme
(Academic Session: 2026-2027)

Online applications are invited in the prescribed format from the interested candidates for admission to B.V.Sc. & A.H. Degree Programme (5½ years) for the Academic Session: 2026-2027 under the Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, W.B.U.A.F.S., Mohanpur campus, Nadia, West Bengal through University website (http://www.wbuafsce.org ).

The admission schedule will be as follows:

  • Online Forms available through website: 19/08/2026 to 02/09/2026 (11:59:59 P.M.)
  • Last date of submission of forms (Online) along with relevant documents: 02/09/2026 (11:59:59 P.M.)
  • Publication of Provisional Merit list: 10/09/2026 (05:00 P.M.)
  • Counselling procedures, Date of Seat allotment, Date of Physical Verification and Admission: To be notified in due course of time in the University website (http://www.wbuafsce.org ).
  • Commencement of Classes: To be notified in due course of time in the University website (http://www.wbuafsce.org ).
The Seat-matrix for B.V.Sc. & A.H. Degree Programme for the Academic Session: 2026-2027:

Eligibility Criteria for Admission in B.V.Sc. & A.H. Degree Programme (2026-2027):

  • Citizenship: The Applicant must be a citizen of India.
  • Age- Not less than 17 years and not more than 25 years as on 31st December of that year of admission. There shall be a relaxation of the upper age limit by maximum 5 (five) years for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
  • The candidate must qualify and obtain a rank in the NEET-UG-2026 conducted by NTA.
  • The candidate must be a domicile of West Bengal.
  • The candidate must pass Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination in science stream from any recognized Board/Council from any institution.
  • The candidate must pass the Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent examinations from any recognized Board/Council with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology and English as compulsory subjects with individual pass marks (in both theory and practical wherever applicable) in all the above four subjects in regular class mode.
  • The candidate must obtain 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology and English taken together for unreserved category and 47.5 % in case of reserved category candidates.
Eligibility Criteria for PwD Category Candidates:
  • A candidate shall not be allowed admission to B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree course if he/she suffers the following disabilities, namely-
    • disability of total body including disability of chest or spine more than 50%,
    • disability of lower limb of more than 50%,
    • disability of upper limb,
    • visually handicapped candidates and those with hearing disability,
    • candidates with progressive diseases like myopathies etc.
    • disabilities which otherwise would interfere in the performance of the duties of a veterinarian.
  • The disability shall be certified by a duly constituted and Government authorized Medical Board comprising of at least three specialists out of which two shall be of the specialty concerned and the candidate has to present him or her-self before the Medical Board and the last valid disability certificate of the candidate from a Medical Board shall not be more than three months old from the date of submitting his or her certificate for disabled candidates.

Candidates will have to upload the cleared scanned copies (colour) of their original documents as follows in JPG/JPEG format during online application. Failing to this the candidate will not be considered for admission:

  • Score/Rank Card of NEET-UG-2026 conducted by NTA.
  • Domicile Certificate as per the prescribed format (Proforma a1 or a2 or b) as per guidelines of Govt. of West Bengal. (Click here to download the Proforma). Domicile Certificate obtained from the West Bengal edistrict portal (https://edistrict.wb.gov.in/PACE) will also be accepted as the proof of domicile.
  • SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD Certificate (wherever applicable)
  • Latest NCL Certificate for OBC candidates (wherever applicable),
  • Secondary Examination Admit Card/Birth Certificate as age proof
  • Mark sheet of Secondary (Class 10) Examination
  • Mark sheet of Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination
  • Aadhaar Card
General Instructions:
  • Applicant can make the payment of online application fee (Non-refundable) [Rs. 1,500/-* for General/OBC/EWS and Rs. 1,200/-* for Reserved Categories (SC/ST/PwD)] by Online Payment (Net-banking/Debit Card/Credit Card/UPI). [*Service charges and applicable taxes, if any are extra].
  • The Provisional Merit List will be made as per NEET-UG-2026 Rank.
  • Candidate must have to produce Domicile Certificate as per the prescribed format (Proforma a1 or a2 or b or e-district) issued by the competent authority only as per guidelines of Govt. of West Bengal (Click here to download the proforma) along with online application as well as on the day of the physical reporting, counselling and admission failing which the candidate will not be considered for admission. In case of proforma b or e-district domicile of the parent is furnished, it is required to produce any two of the following original ID proof (Voter ID card, Aadhaar Card, Passport) of the concerned parent during the stage of document verification where the said ID cards show that the residential address is in West Bengal. Domicile certificates issued by any elected people’s representative such as municipal commissioner, Councilor of Municipal Corporation/Municipality, Member of three-tier Panchayat system or GTA, MLA or MP are not acceptable.
  • Seats reserved for SC candidates if unfilled, will be filled up by the ST candidates and vice versa.
  • The OBC candidates belonging to the Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) are only eligible for admission as reserved category candidates. OBC candidates must submit an updated NCL certificate during online application failing which the candidate will be treated as Unreserved (UR)/ GENERAL. OBC-NCL Certificate and EWS Certificate must be issued in appropriate format on or after 01.04.2026 as per guidelines of Govt. of West Bengal presently in vogue.
  • Reservation policies will be according to the extant rules of Govt. of WB for admission in reserved seats for SC/ST/EWS/PwD. The Reservation for OBC will be followed as per State Government issued Kolkata Gazette Notification Nos. 944-BCW/MR-23/2026 dated 18.05.2026; 945-BCW/MR-23/2026 dated 18.05.2026 and Labr/85-Emp/EC/1M-01/2025 dated-25.05.2026.
  • Only submission of online application does not constitute a right for admission and the decision of the admission committee is full and final.
  • University reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of seats without assigning any reason thereof. In case of any dispute, the decision of the admission committee shall be full and final.
  • University may cancel or withheld the admission process in unavoidable circumstances.
  • The declaration on curbing the menace of ragging must be given along with the online filled-in application form in prescribed format at the time of admission.
