Notice for Admission to M.V.Sc. Degree Programme (Academic Session: 2025-2026)

Online Applications are invited for admission to Masters’ Degree Programme (M.V.Sc.) for the Academic Session: 2025-2026 in the following subjects under the Faculty of Veterinary & Animal Sciences.

• Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences:
  Veterinary Anatomy, Veterinary Physiology, Veterinary Parasitology, Veterinary Biochemistry, Veterinary Pathology, Veterinary Microbiology, Veterinary Surgery & Radiology, Animal Reproduction, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Public Health & Epidemiology, Animal Genetics & Breeding, Veterinary Pharmacology & Toxicology, Animal Nutrition, Livestock Products Technology, Livestock Production Management, Veterinary Extension Education, Veterinary Biotechnology and Poultry Science.

• Fill in the application form online.
• Applicant can make the payment of application fee (Non-refundable) [Rs. 1,500/-* for General, OBC, EWS and Rs. 1,200/-* for SC/ST/PwD Categories] by Online Payment (Net-banking/ Debit card/ Credit card/UPI) [*Service charge and applicable tax are extra].
• The candidates for admission to Master’s Degree Programme must have B.V.Sc. & A.H. from a recognized University with 55% marks in aggregate (50% marks for SC/ST candidates) in traditional system or with a minimum 6.2 O.G.P.A. (6.0 for SC/ST candidates) in 10 point system. Submission of PDC/Final Transcript is obligatory with application.
• There is no separate quota for In-service candidates. ‘NOC’ from the employer of the In-service candidate is obligatory with application.
• Seats reserved for SC candidates if unfilled, will be filled up by the ST candidates and vice versa.
• The OBC candidates belonging to the Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) are only eligible for admission as reserved category candidates. OBC candidates must submit an updated NCL certificate during online application failing which the candidate will be treated as Unreserved (UR)/ GENERAL. OBC-NCL Certificate and EWS certificate must be issued in appropriate format on or after 01.04.2026 as per guidelines of Govt. of West Bengal presently in vogue.
• 7. Reservation policies will be according to the extant rules of Govt. of WB for admission in reserved seats for SC/ST/EWS/PwD. The Reservation for OBC will be followed as per State Government issued Kolkata Gazette Notification Nos. 944-BCW/MR-23/2026 dated 18.05.2026; 945-BCW/MR-23/2026 dated 18.05.2026 and Labr/85-Emp/EC/1M-01/2025 dated-25.05.2026.
• Only submission of online application does not constitute a right for admission and the decision of the admission committee is full and final.
• University reserves the right to increase/ decrease the number of seats without assigning any reason thereof. In case of any dispute, the decision of the admission committee shall be full and final.
• University may cancel or withheld the admission process in unavoidable circumstances.
• The declaration on curbing the menace of ragging must be given along with the online filled-in application form in prescribed format at the time of admission.
