COUNSELLING CUM ADMISSION NOTICE
MASTERS’ DEGREE (M.V.Sc.) PROGRAMME
(Academic Session: 2025-2026)

In continuation to the earlier notification vide nos.-WBUAFS/CE/666/26, dated-01.07.2026, the Counselling and Admission of Masters' Degree (M.V.Sc.) Programme for the Academic Session: 2025-2026 from the Provisional Merit list will be held as per following schedule:

Date of Counselling, Physical Reporting, Document Verification and Admission by paying requisite fees for M.V.Sc. Degree Programme 27/07/2026
[Reporting Time: 11:00 A.M. to 11:45 A.M.]
Date of Registration and Commencement of Semester 28/07/2026
The list of rank holders of the Provisional Merit list and Seat-matrix for admission to Masters' Degree (M.V.Sc.) Programme (2025-2026) is available in the University website (http://www.wbuafsce.org ).

Candidates will have to bring the following testimonials along with originals for verification at the time of physical reporting and admission failing which the candidate will not be considered for admission:
  • One recent Passport size Colour Photograph,
  • Printed hardcopy of online filled in Application Form,
  • Original Medical Fitness Certificate,
  • Self attested photocopy of Secondary Examination Admit Card as age proof,
  • Self attested photocopy of PDC/Degree Certificate of Bachelor's Degree Examination,
  • Self attested photocopy of Final Transcripts of Masters' Degree Examination,
  • Self attested photocopy of PDC/Degree Certificate of Masters' Degree Examination,
  • Self-attested photocopy of SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD Certificate (wherever applicable),
  • Valid NCL Certificate for OBC candidates (wherever applicable),
  • Character certificate from the Dean/Principal of the College/Institute last attend,
  • ‘NOC’ from the Employer of the In-service candidate,
  • Self attested photocopy of Aadhaar Card,
  • Declaration on curbing the menace of ragging (Click here to download the proforma).
The Admission fees of Rs. 3,850/- for Day scholar (within University) and Rs. 22,150/- for Day scholar (outside University) and Rs. 5,950/- for Hosteller (within University) and Rs. 29,350/- for Hosteller (outside University) have to be deposited by the selected candidates on the same day by cash through Bank-challan of Union Bank of India, Belgachia branch located at University Campus.

Hostels will be given on application to be determined by the Office of the DSW/ISW as per availability of the seats.

The venue for Counselling, Physical Reporting, Document verification and Admission will be at the Examination hall under Office of the Controller of Examinations, WBUAFS, Vivek Bhawan, 68, K. B. Sarani, Belgachia, Kolkata – 700 037, West Bengal (Nearest location- Belgachia Metro Station, Google map location Click here to locate ).

Only candidates are eligible to enter into the Counselling venue for Physical Reporting and Admission on presenting the valid ID proof. Entry starts at 11:00 A.M. and ends at 11:45 A.M. Names of the candidates will be announced during counselling and they must be very careful as it will be announced once only. Candidates reporting after 11:45 A.M. will not be entertained.

The Provisional Seat Allotment will be made serially from the Provisional Merit list on candidate’s choice basis till filling up of the available seats from the respective subjects and categories. Seats reserved for SC candidates if unfilled, will be filled up by the ST candidates and vice versa. Candidates who fail to attend Counselling on the notified date and time shall forfeit their claim for admission and participation in further rounds of Counselling (if any). Calling to attend for Counselling on the notified date does not mean the provisional allotment of a seat to a candidate. All the admission will be purely provisional and is liable to be cancelled at any stage of counselling process and even after the admission, in case any irregularity/inconsistency in document is noticed. In case of any dispute, the decision of the admission committee shall be full and final. University reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of seats without assigning any reason thereof. Decision of the University in all matters related to admission will be final and binding on the candidates.

The selected candidates must have to submit the downloaded online Anti-Ragging affidavit, it is mandatory for every student and his/her parents to submit an anti ragging affidavit at the time of first admission and there after each year at the time of annual registration through the two designated websites, namelywww.antiragging.in and www.amanmovement.org .

General Instructions:
  • The OBC candidates belonging to the Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) are only eligible for admission as reserved category candidates. OBC candidates must submit an updated NCL certificate during online application failing which the candidate will be treated as Unreserved (UR)/GENERAL. OBC-NCL Certificate and EWS certificate must be issued in appropriate format on or after 01/04/2026 as per guidelines of Govt. of West Bengal presently in vogue.
  • Reservation policies will be according to the extant rules of Govt. of WB for admission in reserved seats for SC/ST/EWS/PwD. The Reservation for OBC will be followed as per State Government issued Kolkata Gazette Notification Nos. 944-BCW/MR-23/2026 dated 18.05.2026; 945-BCW/MR-23/2026 dated 18.05.2026 and Labr/85-Emp/EC/1M-01/2025 dated-25.05.2026.
  • University may cancel or withheld the admission process in unavoidable circumstances.
