The admission to DPM of IIM Rohtak is open to all Indian citizens, non-resident Indians, persons of Indian origin living abroad and other foreign citizens. Admission to the programme will be based on the academic qualifications, performance in the qualifying examination/tests, personal interviews and the work experience. The Doctoral programme in management is a full-time residential programme.

The candidates should have at least one of the following qualifications:

• Post-Graduate degree or equivalent (full-time) in any discipline with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA; Bachelor degree (full-time) with at least 55% marks and Qualifications of CA, ICWA or CS.
• Bachelor degree (full-time) with at least 55% marks and Qualifications of LLB degree.
• MBBS degree holders with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA + 12 months’ experience as on May 15, 2027.
• 4-years/8 Semesters Bachelor’s degree (full-time), with at least 6.5 CGPA or equivalent marks + 12 months’ experience as on May 15, 2027.
• Five years Integrated Master’s Degree programme (full-time) in any discipline, with at least 55% marks.

Candidates must have pursued their Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in a full-time mode. Candidates who have completed their degrees through distance education or online mode are ineligible to apply for the DPM at IIM Rohtak.

Those who are in the final year of their Master's Programme are also eligible to apply. However, such candidates must have completed all the formalities related to completion of their Master’s degree (such as final examinations/viva/thesis defense/project) and they must submit their provisional Master’s degree on the date of registration to the DPM at IIM Rohtak. If a candidate fails to submit the provisional Master’s degree on the date of registration, he (she) cannot be allowed to complete the registration formalities at IIM Rohtak. However, for the submission of final Master’s degree/marksheet, a short period of time may be provided to the candidate. Please note that those candidates who have applied on the basis of their Master’s degree will have to meet the minimum 55% marks criteria and submit the final degree mark sheet/pass certificate within the time–period allowed by IIM Rohtak. Non-fulfilment of these conditions will automatically result in the cancellation of the provisional admission.

If a candidate is unable to produce any of the documents (required for registration as per the joining instructions), he (she) cannot be allowed to complete the registration formalities. Under no circumstances will additional time be provided to the candidate to submit these documents. Candidates must report to the IIM Rohtak campus on the date of registration to complete their registration formalities. Failure to report as per the date and time conveyed by the Institute will automatically lead to withdrawal of the admission offer.

• A candidate fulfilling the basic eligibility criteria should have a valid test score (not older than five years from the closing date of application) in any of the following tests mentioned for the respective area:

• Candidates possessing PGDM/MBA of IIMs with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 out of 10 or equivalent will be eligible for the interview process directly. Further, if they are selected, they will be exempted from the first-year PGP courses.
• Non-Resident Indians, persons of Indian origin and other foreign citizens should have a valid GMAT/GRE score of not older than five years from the closing date of application.
  
  Candidates with a Master's Degree and 12 months of academic experience or candidates with M.Phil. or candidates with Master's Degree with thesis in the relevant discipline may directly appear for Research Aptitude Test (RAT) to be conducted by IIM Rohtak for shortlisting.
  
  Research Aptitude Test (RAT)
  IIM Rohtak RAT will test candidates on quantitative ability, verbal ability and research aptitude.0
  
  Personal Interview
  The shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview. The candidates will be assessed for their intellectual capabilities, research aptitude and interest in the management discipline.

The participants of the DPM will be given a stipend as mentioned below:

• Rs. 45,000/- for the first two years and
• Rs. 50,000/- after passing the second year

In addition to this, a merit scholarship (subject to satisfactory performance) of Rs. 10,000 per month in the second year and Rs. 15,000 per month in the third and fourth years is given to the deserving participants. Additional stipend is paid for eligible scholars for research publications in unpaid, peer-reviewed ABDC- ‘A*’ or ‘A’ or ‘B’ listed journals.
