The Post Graduate Programme in Enterprise Management (PGPEM) at Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, henceforth IIMB, is a two-year weekend programme for working professionals leading up to a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.

Eligibility:
The basic criteria for applying to the programme include:

• A bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA). Applicants from SC, ST and PwD categories should have a minimum of 45% or equivalent CGPA.²
• Minimum 6 years of full-time work experience as on March 31, 2027, after obtaining a bachelor’s degree. Part-time work and internship (paid or unpaid) during a programme of study is not considered as eligible work experience.
• A valid CAT, GMAT, GRE or IIMB Test score. The test score should be valid as on the date of application submission.

Test Scores:
Scores from four tests are accepted for admission to the PGPEM programme — CAT, GMAT, GRE, and the IIMB Test. At the time of application, the candidate must specify the test opted for.

• Applicants who wish to apply through CAT need to indicate in the CAT 2026 application form that they would like to apply for PGPEM at IIMB. For those candidates, CAT 2026 scores made available to IIMB will be used in the assessment of the PGPEM Round-2 application (see below). Please see the CAT website at http://www.iimcat.ac.in for more details on CAT.
• The IIMB PGPEM code for GMAT is Q9HKK-32. Use this code to have your score sent directly to IIMB. This process is mandatory. Your official score report from Pearson / GMAC (for GMAT) will be used for verification. It is mandatory to submit the official scorecard or the test-taker copy (if official scorecard has not yet been received) along with the application.
• The IIMB PGPEM code for GRE is 1681. Use this code to have your score sent directly to IIMB. This process is mandatory. Your official score report from ETS (for GRE) will be used for verification. It is mandatory to submit the official scorecard or the test-taker copy (if official scorecard has not yet been received) along with the application.
• Note: Online GMAT/GRE score (exam taken at home) will not be accepted for PGPEM 2027-29.

• Applicants can apply through the IIMB Test, to be conducted by IIMB twice a year, on October 25, 2026 and January 31, 2027. Those opting to appear for the IIMB Test will have to pay a test fee of Rs. 1,200/- (non-refundable) in addition to the application fee mentioned below. Required Documents:
The documents to be submitted as part of the application process are listed below. Please ensure that all the documents submitted are complete in all respects.

SSC, HSC and bachelor’s degree transcripts
Bachelor’s degree certificate
GMAT/GRE scorecard, if applicable
Statement of purpose (indicating your achievements and future goals)
Work experience letters / first and last payslips (indicating the date of joining)
SC/ST/NC-OBC/EWS certificate, if applicable
Relevant disability certificate for persons with disability & UDID (PwD)

Reference Letters:
Submission of two (online) reference letters is mandatory. Provide details (email id and contact details) of two persons as your referees in the on-line application. One reference should preferably be from the current employer or from an individual who is able to evaluate your job performance. References will have to be submitted online by the referees directly on or before the stipulated last date for submission of application. Please inform the referees accordingly when you approach them for providing references. References are a part of the application and you will be able to submit the application only after the “Reference” section is complete. No separate extension will be allowed for submission of references. References cannot be received/submitted separately.

Application process: Stage I
The PGPEM admission process starts with the submission of the online application form. The online application form can be accessed at https://campus.iimb.ac.in/psp/cssisprd/?cmd=login&languageCd=ENG& The application fee of Rs. 1,500/- is non-refundable and should be paid on-line.

Only those applications that are complete in all respects and meet the minimum academic and other criteria specified above are considered for the next stage in the admission process. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview and a writing ability test.

Application process: Stage II
After the interviews, each applicant is assigned a composite score. The score is a composite of multiple factors. Offers are made based on this composite score. The actual number of offers shall depend on the number of available seats, as well as the number of candidates meeting the minimum cutoff requirements in terms of the composite score and/or any other factor score(s) as may be determined by the Admissions Committee.

Reservations
IIMB follows reservation for EWS, NC-OBC, SC, ST and PWD in accordance with the law.

Information sessions
The IIMB marketing team and the admissions team will hold a number of information sessions to disseminate information about PGPEM and to answer questions that potential applicants may have about the programme. Interested applicants may refer to our website and register to attend ().

¹ All information in this document is pertinent to the admissions cycle 2027-29 alone, and therefore no inference can be made from this document about the admissions process that will be used for future admission cycles at IIMB. IIMB reserves the right to change, modify or adopt any new admissions process that it deems necessary, at any point.

² Applicants who do not have a bachelor’s degree but have completed their CA/ICWA/CS after Class XII, are also eligible to apply for PGPEM 2027-29. The requirement of minimum percentage marks /CGPA is the same as a bachelor’s degree.

The selection process for the PGPEM 2027-29 batch will be conducted in two rounds. Candidates can submit their application during any of these two rounds. Candidates should apply in any one round only. Candidates found applying in more than one round will be disqualified. The application window and the schedule of events (tentative) are as below: Note:

• Only those candidates who have been shortlisted will be intimated by e-mail, with all relevant details.
• These dates are tentative and are subject to change if required.
• Interview process would be physical but may be conducted online if there is a disruption to pandemic.

The IIMB Test is an entrance examination conducted by the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) for candidates applying to its Ph.D. and PGPEM programmes. The test is administered in an online proctored format, allowing candidates to take it from a secure and isolated environment using a desktop or laptop equipped with a webcam and a stable internet connection.

The examination consists of two sections: a Verbal section and a Quantitative section, with a total duration of two hours. As the test is conducted online, no admit card is issued. Instead, candidates receive a test access link on the day of the examination. Additionally, no scorecard is shared with candidates after the test, as the scores are used solely for internal evaluation purposes.

Please visit the Admissions webpage for instructions on how to register for the IIMB test. Applying for PGPEM or Ph.D. does not automatically register a candidate for the IIMB test. Applicants should register for IIMB test and apply separately for PGPEM or PhD through the notified online application (available on our website) within the stipulated last date.

IIMB test dates for admission to PGPEM / Ph.D. 2027 batch Instructions for PGPEM applicants:

• Applicants appearing in Test 1 (Oct 25, 2026) and submitting application in Round 1 of PGPEM admission will be considered for further process in Round 1 only.
• Applicants who plan to submit application in Round 2 of PGPEM admission can appear for one or both IIMB tests. If the applicant chooses to take IIMB test twice, only the highest score will be considered during admission.
• An applicant can apply for PGPEM in one round only. If any applicant is found applying in both rounds, He/she shall be disqualified from both rounds.
• If the applicant opts for the first round but is unable to attend the test (for whatever reason), the test fee paid earlier stands forfeited. The applicant if appearing again for the second round IIMB Test should pay the IIMB test fee again.
• Registration for the IIMB test will generate a receipt number which the candidates need to enter in the PGPEM programme online application form before submission.
• IIMB test score will be used for the internal processing of the application and no test score card shall be issued.

Instructions for Ph.D. applicants:

• Applicants can choose to appear in the IIMB test either once or twice. If the applicant chooses to write the IIMB test twice, only the highest score will be considered during admission.
• If the applicant opts for the first test but is unable to attend the test (for whatever reason), the test fee paid earlier stands forfeited. The applicant can appear for the second test by paying the test fee again.
• Registration for the IIMB test will generate a receipt number which the candidates need to enter in the PhD programme online application form before submission.
• IIMB test score will be used for the internal processing of the application and no test score card shall be issued.

The IIMB test fee is Rs. 1,200/- for each test and is NON-REFUNDABLE.
