Eligibility Criteria for UG Admission 2026

No. Stream/Programme Major Subject Criteria
1 3 - YEAR B.A. MULTIDISCIPLINARY COURSE   A candidate, who has passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent examination in any stream, is eligible for B.A.(General) course of studies provided she has passed in English having full marks not being less than 100.
2 4 - YEAR B.A. (HONS/HONS. AND RESEARCH) IN ARTS ENGLISH (H) A candidate taking up Honours Course in a subject must have obtained: i. A minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the subject or related subjects at the previous qualifying examination. Or ii. 55% marks in the subject or related subjects at the previous qualifying examination. SC/ST/OBC Candidates: Candidates belonging to Reserved Categories taking up Honours Course of Study must obtain a minimum of 40% marks in the aggregate or 40% marks in the subject or related subjects at the previous qualifying examination, as the case may be.
3 4 - YEAR B.A. (HONS/HONS. AND RESEARCH) IN ARTS HINDI (H) A candidate taking up Honours must obtain: A minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the subject or related subjects at the previous qualifying examination. Or 55% marks in the subject or related subjects at the previous qualifying examination. SC/ST Candidates:A minimum 40% marks in aggregate / Subject / Related Subjects at the previous qualifying examination, as the case may be.
4 4 - YEAR B.A. (HONS/HONS. AND RESEARCH) IN ARTS HISTORY (H) A candidate taking up Honours Course in a subject must have obtained: i. A minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the subject or related subjects at the previous qualifying examination. Or ii. 55% marks in the subject or related subjects at the previous qualifying examination. SC/ST/OBC Candidates: Candidates belonging to Reserved Categories taking up Honours Course of Study must obtain a minimum of 40% marks in the aggregate or 40% marks in the subject or related subjects at the previous qualifying examination, as the case may be.
5 4 - YEAR - B.B.A (HONS/HONS. AND RESEARCH) COURSE BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) A candidate who has passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) or the equivalent examination in any stream is eligible to seek admission to the 1st year/semester B.B.A. (Hons.) Course of Study provided he/she has also passed in English having full marks not being less than 100 and other criteria as per latest norms of University of Calcutta. A minimum of 60% marks in the aggregate at the previous qualifying examination. Aggregate marks will be calculated by adding the marks in top-four subjects in order of marks secured by a candidate.
6 3-YEAR B.COM. MULTIDISCIPLINARY COURSE   A student will be allowed to take up B.Com. (General) Course if he/she had passed the subject (s) at the previous qualifying examination as mentioned below: Accountancy/ Business Economics including Business Mathematics/ Business Organization/ Mathematics/Economics/ Statistics/ Commerce/Accounts/ Business Studies/ Financial Accounting/ Office and Secretarial Practice/ Elements of Cost Accountancy & Auditing/ Book Keeping/ Business Mathematics/ Cost Accountancy and Principles of Management.
7 4 - YEAR B.COM. (HONS/HONS. AND RESEARCH ) IN COMMERCE ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE (H)- MORNING A candidate taking up Honours must obtain: A minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the subject or related subjects at the previous qualifying examination. Or 55% marks in the subject or related subjects at the previous qualifying examination. SC/ST Candidates:A minimum 40% marks in aggregate / Subject / Related Subjects at the previous qualifying examination, as the case may be.
8 4 - YEAR B.COM. (HONS/HONS. AND RESEARCH ) IN COMMERCE ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE (H)-Day A candidate taking up Honours must obtain: A minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the subject or related subjects at the previous qualifying examination. Or 55% marks in the subject or related subjects at the previous qualifying examination. SC/ST Candidates:A minimum 40% marks in aggregate / Subject / Related Subjects at the previous qualifying examination, as the case may be.
9 4 - YEAR B.SC. (HONS/HONS. AND RESEARCH ) IN SCIENCE COMPUTER SCIENCE (H) A candidate taking up Honours Course in a subject must have obtained: i. A minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the subject or related subjects at the previous qualifying examination. Or ii. 55% marks in the subject or related subjects at the previous qualifying examination. SC/ST/OBC Candidates: Candidates belonging to Reserved Categories taking up Honours Course of Study must obtain a minimum of 40% marks in the aggregate or 40% marks in the subject or related subjects at the previous qualifying examination, as the case may be. Candidate must have passed Physics, Mathematics Subjects.
10 4 - YEAR B.SC. (HONS/HONS. AND RESEARCH ) IN SCIENCE MATHEMATICS (H) A candidate taking up Honours Course in a subject must have obtained: i. A minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the subject or related subjects at the previous qualifying examination. Or ii. 55% marks in the subject or related subjects at the previous qualifying examination. SC/ST/OBC Candidates: Candidates belonging to Reserved Categories taking up Honours Course of Study must obtain a minimum of 40% marks in the aggregate or 40% marks in the subject or related subjects at the previous qualifying examination, as the case may be. Candidate must have passed Physics, Mathematics Subjects.
11 4 - YEAR - B.SC. (HONOURS WITH A CORE VOCATIONAL SUBJECT) COURSE COMPUTER APPLICATION • A candidate who secures a minimum of 45% marks in the aggregate at the H.S. (10+2)or in an equivalent examination will be eligible for admission to the B.Sc. (CORE VOCATIONAL) Degree Course of Studies provided he/she has passed in English, having full marks not less than 100. • Candidates belonging to Reserved Categories taking Course of Study must obtain a minimum of 40% marks in the aggregate or 40% marks in the subject or related subjects at the previous qualifying examinations, as the case may be.Candidate must have passed Physics, Mathematics Subjects.
