Admission in to B.Ed. (Two years) Regular Course, 2026

Telangana Education Common Entrance Test (TG Ed.CET – 2026) through Computer Based Test (CBT) for the year 2026 will be conducted by Kakatiya University, Warangal in accordance with G.Os issued time-to-time by Govt. of Telangana for admission into B.Ed. (Two years) regular course in the Colleges of Education in Telangana State for the academic year 2026-2027. Eligible candidates should submit their application ONLINE mode only from 23/02/2026.
Application registration fee of Rs. 750/- (Rs. 550/- for SC/ST/PH) should be paid at TG Online Centres in Telangana or through Payment Gateway. The detailed information regarding the eligibility, syllabus, model paper, related instructions and procedure for online submission of applications are available on the website https://edcet.tgche.ac.in.

Eligibility to Appear for TG Ed.CET-2026

Candidate’s satisfying the following requirements shall be eligible to appear for TG Ed.CET-2026.

The candidate should have Indian Nationality.
The candidate should satisfy "Local" / "Non-Local" status requirements as laid down in the Telangana Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order 1974, as subsequently amended.
Educational Qualifications:
Candidate should have passed or appeared:
- In any Bachelors Degree i.e. B.A, B.Com., B.Sc., B.Sc. (Home Science), BCA, BBM, B.A. (Oriental Languages), BBA or in the Masters Degree, securing at least 50% aggregate marks.
- Bachelors in Engineering or Technology with 50% aggregate marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto.
- However, candidates belonging to the reserved categories viz., SC/ST/BC and other reserved categories should have secured 40% marks in the qualifying examination.
- Candidates should be required to produce marks memo and pass certificate at the time of Counseling for Admission
- Candidates possessing MBBS / BSC (AG) / BSC (Horticulture) / BSC (Architecture) / BVSC / BHMT / B.Pharm and such other professional and job oriented degree courses viz., LL.B are not eligible for admission into B.Ed course.
- Candidates possessing a Master Degree without having undertaken Under Graduate study are not eligible for admission.
Age Limit: The candidates should have completed the age of 19 years on 1st July of the year in which notification is issued. There shall be no maximum age limit.

Scheme of Examination for TG Ed.CET-2026

The common entrance test will be of objective type (multiple choices) examination. Each question carries one mark and test is conducted for total 150 marks.

Candidate has to answer 150 questions in two hours of time.
