Admission to Postgraduate Courses, 2026-27

For admission to Post Graduate programmes, the candidates will be required to submit an online Application Form for University of Rajasthan Admission Test for Post Graduate Courses–2026 (URATPG-2026) for which a separate notification will be published by the University.

About URATPG-2026:

  • Admission to all the PG Departments of the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur shall be on the basis of Entrance Test and Academic Merit of the qualifying Examination. However, admissions in all the PG programmes being run under the Faculty of Law shall be on the basis of marks scored by the candidates in URATPG–2026 examination only.
  • Admission to different streams of Faculty of Fine Arts (Drawing and Painting) will be given on the basis of 70% weightage of marks obtained in URATPG 2026 + 30% (Marks of qualifying exam) + 30 Marks in the Practical Exam wherever applicable (to be conducted by the concerned Department).
  • The process of admission to PG Departments shall be carried out in the following two phases:
    • The Candidate is required to visit the University website https://uniofraj.org for further details regarding application and Admission form submission.
    • The candidate can appear for a maximum of 03 (three) test subjects in the Entrance Test through a single form.
    • Requisite fee will be paid online through ICICI Bank payment gateway.

    • After the payment of online fee, the candidate will be redirected to fill the online application form on the University website: https://uniofraj.org
    • THE APPLICANTS ARE NOT REQUIRED TO DEPOSIT THE HARD COPY OF THE ONLINE APPLICATION FORM OF FIRST PHASE. HOWEVER, THEY ARE ADVISED TO KEEP THE HARDCOPY OF THE ONLINE APPLICATION FORM FOR THEIR OWN REFERENCE.
    • URATPG-2026 shall be held for the admission to following subjects:

    • Only appearing in the University of Rajasthan PG Entrance Test (URATPG-2026) will not ensure admission to a programme of study in the University. Each candidate shall ensure that he/she fulfills the Eligibility Criteria and that the particulars furnished in the Admission Form are complete and correct in all the respect. In case, if it is detected at any stage that a candidate does not fulfill the eligibility criteria and/or has furnished incorrect information or suppressed any material/information, his/her candidature will be cancelled and if already admitted, all benefits accrued there on are liable to be forfeited, besides rustication from the University.
    • In case the applicant for admission is found to have indulged in ragging in the past or if it is noticed later that he/she has indulged in ragging, admission may be refused or he/she shall be expelled from the educational institution. However, if any incident of ragging comes to the notice of the authority, the concerned student shall be given opportunity to explain and if his/her explanation is not found satisfactory, the authority would expel him/her from the Institution.
    • NO SEPARATE INTIMATION REGARDING SELECTION TO A PROGRAMME OF STUDY SHALL BE SENT TO THE APPLICANT. THE CANDIDATES ARE DIRECTED TO REMAIN IN TOUCH WITH THE CONCERNED DEPARTMENT AND CHECK THE NOTICE BOARD OF THE DEPARTMENT AND UNIVERSITY ADMISSION WEBSITE (https://uniofraj.org ) FOR DAY TO DAY INFORMATION.
    Entrance Test Details
    • The entrance test for each subject/programme shall have 100 objective type questions carrying one (1) mark each within the notified syllabus (as per NEP 2020, which is available on the website of the University for all undergraduate subjects/programmes). The duration for each paper shall be 2 hours.
    • Admission to different programmes run by Department of Drawing & Painting will be given on the basis of 70% weightage of marks obtained in the subject Test in URATPG-2026 + 30% (Marks of qualifying exam) + 30 Marks in the Practical Exam wherever applicable.
    • Examination Centres: The Centre for Entrance Test (URATPG-2026) and Roll number will be provided on Admission Card which can be downloaded from the University website closer to the examination dates. The candidate will be required to fix a self-attested recent photograph on the Admission Card and will have to produce a valid Government ID proof in the examination hall.
    • The Time Schedule of Entrance Test will be notified on the University website separately.
    • The sample question papers of URATPG-2025 examination are available on the University website https://uniofraj.org .
    • Totally blind candidates must arrange amanuensis on their own and should carry attested copies of the certificate issued in accordance with Statute 17 (A) (ii). Moreover, attested copies of Marksheet/Certificate and Photo Identity of amanuensis who should not possess qualification higher than 10+2, be also submitted to the Superintendent of the Entrance Test Centre one day prior to the Test date.
    • Publication of Answer Key: The University shall publish the Answer Key pertaining to URATPG-2026 on the University website. Candidates having any doubt with reference to Answer Key/Questions in the URATPG-2026 can communicate the same to the Office of the Convener, URATPG-2026 as specified in the notification of examination.
    • The candidates will not be allowed to enter in the Examination Hall after the commencement of the Examination.
    • After completion of entrance test, the candidates can carry Question Booklet with them.
    • After Declaration of URATPG-2026 Entrance Test Result, the candidate will be required to generate Admission form for Test Subject related Programmes from University Website https://uniofraj.org .
    • After depositing requisite fee online through ICICI bank payment Gateway, the candidate will be redirected to fill application form for the chosen programme.
    • The candidate can offer a maximum of 05 (Five) programmes either of one faculty or in more than one faculty. These programmes would be available within the scope of the subjects in which candidate appeared in the entrance test.
      IF A CANDIDATE EITHER DOES NOT CHOOSE A TEST SUBJECT OR REMAINS ABSENT IN THE CHOSEN TEST SUBJECT THEN THE CANDIDATE WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO CHOOSE SUCH SUBJECT RELATED PROGRAMMES.
    • The candidate has to submit the Hard copy of these forms in the programme related Department/Centre on or before the prescribed date of submission of the Hard Copy.
    • The candidate has to submit the self-attested copies of the following Certificates/Documents along with hard copy of the online generated application form:
      • Secondary School Marks Sheet.
      • Senior Secondary School Marks Sheet.
      • Undergraduate Marks Sheet.
      • Valid Caste Certificate of SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS (if applicable).
      • Certificate/document to claim weightage (PH/Sports/NSS/NCC/Others), if any.
      • Any other document which the candidate thinks appropriate.
      • Original Challan for each programme as application fee.
    • Head of the Department/Director of the Centre will constitute an Admission Committee to prepare the merit list, based on URATPG-2026 test marks (70% weightage) and 30% weightage of the academic performance in the qualifying examination and weightage (for other activities) there on (if applicable) as given in the Prospectus. The concerning Head of the Department/Director will display the list of the eligible candidates seeking admission to the program based on the merit. The decision of the concerned HOD relating to admission will be final. Reservation policy of the University will be followed, while preparing the merit in the Departments/Centres.
    • The candidate belonging to Outright Category (O) shall also be required to appear in the URATPG-2026.

For Preparation of Merit List of Admission:
  • 70% weightage of written examination of entrance test of URATPG + 30% weightage of marks obtained in graduation as mentioned in University Prospectus-2026-27 and weightage (if any) as given in the Prospectus.
  • Reservation rules as per Government of Rajasthan policy.
  • In subjects of Drawing and Painting Practical Test (30 marks) will also be held by the concerned department.
