Important Dates for Admission to Ph.D. Programme 2026-27 (Summer Term) for Candidates Qualifying for
fellowship i.e. JRF (valid) (category-1) in UGC-NET/UGC-CSIR NET/DBT/ICMR and similar national level tests, UGCNET/UGC-CSIR NET (category-2 & 3).

5.	Date of Counselling for admission in physical mode, and deposition of fee on spot through online mode (Venue & Time : Department Concerned/School at 10.00 A.M.)	02.07.2026 (Thursday)
6.	Display of category-wise vacant seats for second counselling.	03.07.2026 (Friday)
7.	Date of 2^nd Counselling for admission on vacant seats including seats arisen vacant due to conversion (from reserved categories to General Category, if any) and deposition of fee on the spot through online mode.	06.06.2026 (Monday)
8.	Date of Compulsory Orientation/Induction Programme for the students admitted in Ph.D.	07.07.2026 (Tuesday)

NOTE: The candidates may refer Chapter-12: 'Ordinance-Doctor of Philosophy' for further details regarding eligibility, procedure of admission, process of registration in Ph.D. programme etc.

The candidates are required to appear for Interview on the date fixed for Interview before Interview Committee subject to fulfilment of Academic Eligibility and other requisite documents to be verified by the Admission Committee at the time of Counselling for Admission. The candidates are required to obtain 50% marks to qualify the Interview and to be eligible for counselling.
