Admission to UG & PG Programmes for the academic session 2025-26

Admission Procedure
Indian Candidates:
  • Notifications and advertisements about the application forms and important dates will be published on the MIT-WPU website.
  • Application forms can be filled out online on the MIT-WPU official website by paying the non-refundable fee of Rs. 1,800/- for the entrance examination and admission processing. This payment can be made through the online mode (Net Banking/Card/G-Pay, etc.)
  • Admissions will be purely based on the Ranks/Percentile/Scores secured in the All-India National Level Entrance Tests / Maharashtra CET / MIT-WPU CET conducted by university through online mode which would be consistent with the Computer Based Test (CBT) & Personal Interaction (PI)/ Media Report / SoP / Drawing Test / Portfolio (as applicable) and based on suitable eligibility criteria program-wise.
  • The Results of the selection will be published on the individual applicant dashboard.
  • Eligible candidates will be allocated programmes based on their ranks / Percentile / Scores in the respective entrance examinations, and/or qualifying examinations as per eligibility & the merit cut-offs defined for the relevant selection process.
International Candidates:
  • Admissions will be based on marks or grades obtained in the qualifying examinations as per eligibility criteria, and availability of seat(s). The admissions process is based on a first-come, first-served basis.

Application Submission (Online)

Candidates should fill out their personal information and contact details (email address & phone number) properly, as all the important updates will be communicated to registered email ID & phone number only.

The important instructions regarding entrance test, personal interaction, and selection process will be communicated from time to time and the candidate should check the details on MIT-WPU official website and on their registered email ID.

Important instructions for filling the online application form:
  • Personal Profile: The name of the candidate and his/her parents must be the same as mentioned on their class 10th std. marksheet/certificate (No prefix should be used).
  • Registered contact details: Please ensure the contact details mentioned in the application form are accurate.
  • Academic Profile: The candidate should enter the marks obtained in qualifying examinations (10th, 12th, Batchelor's Degree marks etc). If the qualifying examinations result is not declared, then the candidate should enter the marks within 5 days from the date of declaration of results.

    The score of National level Entrance Test(s)/ Maharashtra CET (as applicable) should be updated in the application form within 5 days from the date of declaration of results.

    The candidate should upload the score card(s) of respective entrance examination and qualifying examination marksheet(s) accordingly. Applications with incomplete and without qualifying marks/entrance score/marks will not be considered for further selection process.
  • SOP (Statement of Purpose): The SoP should be submitted through online mode in the application form (wherever applicable). A SoP, also known as a letter of intent/video, is written statement addressed to the admission panel and can be talks about your career path, interests, professional contributions, goals, and the driving force behind pursuing a particular Pedagogy/Programme.
  • Upload Documents: We prefer required documents downloaded through DigiLocker or self-attested scanned and readable copies in the application form. The documents downloaded through DigiLocker/Readable self-attested scanned documents to be kept handy while submitting the application form.
  • Payment of application fees for the entrance examination Rs. 1,800/- through online mode (Net banking/Card/G-pay etc.) which will be non-refundable in any circumstance.
  • Latest Photograph: The candidate must upload the latest passport size photograph, as this will be used for further official record(s) like student ID card etc.
Application Process (Indian Students)
  • Step-01: Apply online on admissions.mitwpu.edu.in and submit registration form
  • Step-02: Receive Login ID and Password (Auto redirect to Student Dashboard)
  • Step-03: Fill Application Form (Pay application form Fees - Rs.1800)
  • Step-04: Receive entrance test link for MIT-WPU CET (Date will reflect on Student Dashboard / Website)
  • Step-05: Appear for entrance test
  • Step-06: Check Merit List (Dates/Results notified on Dashboard)
  • Step-07: Receive Provisional Offer Letter upon successful selection Number
  • Step-08: Complete fee payment (1st Instalment)
  • Step-09: Verification (Payment/Personal/Education/Documents)
  • Step-10: Receive Final Offer Letter and Offer Guide with student PRN number
  • Step-11: Submit original documents
  • Step-12: Welcome to MIT-WPU!
Guidelines:
  • Personal Profile - The name of the candidate and his/her parents must be the same as mentioned on their class 10th certificate. (No prefix should be used)
  • Contact details should be accurate.
  • Academic Profile* - Marks obtained in qualifying examination & last attended school.
  • The marks of the qualifying national entrance tests / Maharashtra CET / MIT-WPU CET along with documents should be uploaded within 15 days of the results being announced.
  • Candidates who fail to do so will not be considered for the admissions.
  • Upload Documents - Candidates must upload scanned copies of the required documents in the MIT-WPU admission portal.
  • Payment of application fees - Rs. 1800/- through online mode only. (Net banking/Card/G-pay)
Eligibility
Indian Candidates:
  • UG Programmes: The candidate must have passed the 10th (SSC), 12th (HSC) from state boards/CBSE/ICSE/IGCSE(ICE), IB-Diploma & any other recognised board by the competent authority. All International Baccalaureate (IB) students are required to have a minimum 24 credit points with awarded IB-Diploma. An equivalence/conversion certificate is required from the respective board/AIU in case the result is in grade/credit points.
  • PG Programmes: The candidate must have a Batchelor's Degree or its equivalent Degree from any recognized University approved by the UGC/ AIU.
    • Maharashtra state (MS) Candidates:
      A Candidate who is either Domicile of Maharashtra and/or is born in Maharashtra.
    • Other than Maharashtra state (OMS) Candidates:
      A candidate whose Domicile Status is outside Maharashtra and has passed his qualifying examination from Board/University outside Maharashtra will be considered as OMS candidate.
      AND/OR
      A candidate whose Domicile Status is outside Maharashtra state but passing 10th (SSC)/12th (HSC)/Diploma or Graduation, Post-Graduation or its equivalent examination from a recognized school in the State of Maharashtra, will be considered as OMS candidate.
International Candidates:
  • Under-Graduate (UG) Programmes: The candidate must have passed the Std. 10+2 or its equivalent examinations from the recognized institution approved by the Government.
  • Post-Graduate (PG) Programmes: The candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent Degree from any recognized University approved by Government (AIU).
MIT-WPU follows UGC-specified eligibility norms while reviewing international student' admission applications. To take admission for any programme at MIT-WPU under international category, the admission categories of international candidates are as mentioned below:
  • Foreign Nationals Students: A student is eligible to apply as a Foreign National (FN) if he/she is a citizen of any country other than India and holds a foreign passport (FN - SAARC countries: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and FN-Non-SAARC Countries).
  • CIWGC/CIWSEA Students: Children of Indians working in Gulf Countries & Southeast Asian countries, (the candidates whose parents are working at Gulf countries or Southeast Asian countries) only are eligible under this category.
  • OCI Students: A student is eligible to apply as OCI if he/she has been granted Overseas Citizenship of India and has an OCI card.
  • NRI: A student is eligible for NRI Category if he/she is a Non-Resident Indian (Other than Gulf & Southeast Asia Countries).

Additional Documents required for International/NRI/Foreign candidates:
- Student & Parent Passport Copy (Passport copy submission is mandatory).
- Original Employer Certificate (If applicable).
- Original Sponsorship Letter (If applicable).
- NRI certificate (Applicable for NRI category students).

Important Note:
  • For detailed programme wise eligibility criteria, please refer Annexure-1 mentioned below and/or refer MIT-WPU official website for programme wise eligibility.
  • MIT-WPU retains the right to make changes to any published schedule.
  • The eligibility criteria defined and declared by the appropriate authority, university from time to time will apply to all applicants.
  • Applicants must carefully review the eligibility criteria for their chosen programme(s) before completing the application form. The University reserves the right to disqualify any candidate at any stage of the admissions process if they are found ineligible or have provided false or incorrect information. In such cases, the candidate's provisional admission will be cancelled.
