Course Description This course is a comprehensive introductory Chinese language course designed to develop students' basic knowledge and communicative competence in Mandarin Chinese. The course focuses on Chinese pronunciation, vocabulary, sentence structures, basic grammar, and everyday communication. It provides the foundational Chinese language knowledge required for HSK
Learning Outcomes At the end of this course, students should be able to:
1. Pronounce Chinese phonetics correctly and accurately apply basic pronunciation rules.
2. Demonstrate basic communicative ability in Chinese in common everyday situations.
3. Acquire the foundational Chinese language knowledge required for progression to HSK Level 2.
Learning Support Soft copy of Text Book of 'Introductory-level Chinese' course material will be provided.
