Entrance Test for Lateral Entry (2nd Year/3rd Semester B.Tech. Programme) in Biomedical Engineering, 2026

B.Tech. Biomedical Engineering (BME) Lateral Entry Entrance Examination
The admission/selection to the B.Tech. (BME) program for a limited number seats in the 2nd year / 3rd semester will be done on the basis of a written test of one hour duration (total marks 100). The decision of the Admission Committee in all matters shall be binding and final. Date, time and venue of the written test are furnished follows

In case, any candidate fails to report at the reporting time and venue on the specified date and time mentioned above, he/she will forfeit his/her candidature. Furthermore if selected, the candidate has to take admission within the time frame or else his/her claim against the seat will be invalidated.

* If any candidate does not possess Diploma/B.Sc. and relavent as per the advertisement, his/her candidature shall be cancelled and in such case he/she will not be allowed to appear for admission test.
Eligibility for appearing for Admission Test: As per the advertisement/NEHU Regulations.
Mode of Admission Test: Offline written examination (MCQtype)

All original certificates and marksheets of all semesters(Diploma/B.Sc) need to be brought at the time of physical document verification in addition to the testimonials which satisfy the admission eligibility criteria.

Note-1: The applicants, who have not submitted Diploma/B.Sc. marksheets and/or certificate as per the requisite eligibility criteria, are instructed to submit a scan copy through email to bmeleet2020@gmail.com and serve a copy to hodbme@nehu.ac.in.

You are further informed to bring the following documents in ORIGINAL for verification failing which your selection for entrance test and interview will stand cancelled:

• Pass certificate of Degree/ Diploma in relevant discipline.
• Pass certificates of all board/council examinations starting from HSLC or equivalent.
• Mark sheets/grade cards of all board/council examinations starting from HSLC or equivalent.
• Valid certificate for EWS/SC/ST issued by Deputy Commissioner (DC) or competent authority Under the seal of DC’s office only.
• Employment certificate issued from Registrar’s Office, NEHU (for NEHU Ward cases only).
• Valid certificate for Person with Disability (PH Category Candidates).
• Permanent Resident Certificate for those who are claiming the permanent resident of Meghalaya.
• Date of Birth Certificate or HSLC certificate.
