Entrance Test for Lateral Entry (2nd Year/3rd Semester B.Tech. Programme) in Energy Engineering 2026

This is to inform all the applicants who have applied for the B.Tech. Lateral Entry (Energy Engineering) session 2026-27, the physical document verification and admission test for B.Tech. Lateral Entry 2026 in the Department of Energy Engineering, NEHU, shall be conducted as per the schedule mentioned below:

Reporting Time	05th August, 2026 (Wednesday) (10:00 A.M.)
Reporting Venue	Energy Engineering Department, NEHU
Physical Document Verification Time/Date	05th August, 2026 (Wednesday) (10:30 A.M.)
Entrance Test Time/Date	05th August, 2026 (Wednesday) (11:30 A.M.-12:30 P.M.)
Result Declaration Time/Date	05th August, 2026 (Wednesday) (04:00 P.M.)

In case, any candidate fails to report on the specified date and time, his/her candidature shall be forfeited.

After the final selection for admission, candidate has to deposit necessary fee for Admission by 07^th August, 2026, before 05:00 P.M.. Mode of fee deposition is ONLINE only.

Candidates are instructed to bring one set of photocopies of the testimonials along with the original testimonial for verification, which satisfy the admission eligibility. Also Printed copy of the application form has to be brought.

The details Syllabus of the Examination will be communicated through email. Candidates are required to check their respective emails. Any discrepancy/mis-information or non-fulfilment of admission criteria as found at any stage during physical document verification or later shall result in forfeiting the seat allotment as the case may be.

* If any candidate does not possess Diploma/B.Sc. as per the advertisement, his/her candidature shall be cancelled and in such case he/she will not be allowed to appear for admission test.

Eligibility for appearing for Admission Test: As per the advertisement / NEHU Regulations.
Mode of Admission Test: Offline written examination (MCQ type).

All original certificates and marksheets of all semesters (Diploma/B.Sc) need to be brought at the time of physical document verification in addition to the testimonials which satisfy the admission eligibility criteria.

The applicants, who have not submitted Diploma/B.Sc. marksheets and/or certificate as per the requisite eligibility criteria, are instructed to submit a scan copy through email to energyenggoffice@gmail.com and serve a copy to hodee@nehu.ac.in.
