Notification & List of Shortlisted Candidates for B.Tech. (ECE) Lateral Entry Entrance Examination (LEEE)-2026

The admission/selection to 2nd year/3rd semester B.Tech (ECE) program for a limited number of seats will be based only on the offline written examination (Please refer to the detailed syllabus) of one hour duration (total marks 100).

Eligibility of appearing LEEE-2026:
3 years Diploma in Engineering from following disciplines: ECE / Electrical / Instrumentation / Medical Electronics / Information Technology / CSE having secured a minimum of three years of institutional study after class 10/SSLC examination OR B.Sc. in Electronics / Mathematics / Physics having secured a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate from any recognized institution having Mathematics at 10+2 level.

Merit list shall be prepared as per NEHU rules and based on the performance in LEEE-2026 Entrance exam. Important dates are as follows:

Date of Offline Written Examination	4th August, 2026 (Tuesday)
Document verification and Written Examination	Document verification: 09:30 A.M. – 11:30 A.M. (2 hours) Examination timing: 12:15 P.M. to 01:15 P.M. (1 hour)
Venue	Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, NEHU, Shillong.
Publication of Merit List	On 6th August ,2026 (Thursday)
Date of Admission	On or before 13th August, 2026 (Thursday)

The applicants are informed to check their Samarth portal/NEHU website/email regularly for any update.

In case, any candidate fails to report on the specified date and time, she/he will forfeit her/his candidature. Furthermore, if selected, the candidate has to take admission within the time frame, or else her/his claim against the seat will be invalidated.

You are further informed to bring the following documents in ORIGINAL for verification failing which your selection for the entrance test will be stand canceled:

Printed copy of the application form.
Pass certificate of Degree/Diploma in relevant discipline as mentioned in eligibility criteria.
Pass certificates of all board/council examinations starting from HSLC or equivalent.
Mark sheets/grade cards of all board/council examinations starting from HSLC or equivalent.
Valid certificate for SC/ST issued by Deputy Commissioner (DC) or competent authority under the seal of DC’s office only.
Employment certificate issued from Registrar’s Office, NEHU (for NEHU Ward cases only).
Valid certificate for Persons with Disability (PH Category Candidates).
EWS certificate from the competent authority.
Date of Birth Certificate or HSLC certificate.
Permanent residence of Meghalaya should bring:
- Permanent Resident Certificate.
- Educationally backward areas Certificate: Certificate as mentioned in admission notice, in this regard the certificate should be issued by the Block Development Officer with backwardness 5% or more, than the National Level.
