Applications are invited for admission under the NRI / NRI Sponsored Category for the Five-Year Integrated B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and B.Sc. LL.B. (Hons.) programmes at The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata through CLAT 2026.

Application Rules

  • Applicants may apply for B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and B.Sc. LL.B. (Hons.) in one application.
  • Choice of programme preference will be considered as per the submitted application.
  • Duplicate Applications: If multiple applications are submitted, only the latest application will be considered.
  • Hostel: Hostel accommodation is not available for B.Sc. LL.B. (Hons.) students. Limited hostel accommodation for B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) students is subject to distance criteria and availability.

How to Apply

  • Register Online through the SBI Collect Portal.
  • Pay Application Fee of Rs. 2,500 (Non-Refundable).
  • Last Date: 30 April 2026 (23:59 Midnight)
  • Upload scanned documents on the portal. No hard copies should be sent at this stage.

Selection-cum Admission Criteria

Admission shall be based on:

  • CLAT 2026 scorecard and All India Rank
  • Proof of application fee payment
  • High-quality scanned copies of all relevant documents
  • Original documents must be produced in person for verification if selected
  • Marksheet of qualifying examination (with grade-to-marks conversion, if applicable)
  • Equivalence certificate from Indian Embassy / Indian Consulate / Association of Indian Universities (AIU) for foreign qualifications (if applicable). The candidate’s certificate will be placed before the University Equivalence Committee and the decision of the Committee shall be final.

Policy for Fee Payment

Selected candidates must provide either:

  • Full fee payment of 57530 USD (one-time payment),
  • OR
  • First year fee payment of 11790 USD and a Bank Guarantee for subsequent years (45740 USD) at the time of admission.

Documents Required for NRI / NRI Sponsored Category

Selected candidates must upload the following documents:

  • Proof of nationality
  • Notarised affidavit (from country of residence) confirming NRI/PIO/OCI status of sponsor/guardian
  • Self-attested copy of passport of NRI/NRI sponsor
  • Migration and Character Certificate from last institution
  • Candidate Declaration (Annexure-A)
  • Parent/Guardian Declaration (Annexure-B)
  • Sponsorship Form (Annexure-C – mandatory for NRI-Sponsored candidates)

Important Notes for Uploading

  • No physical documents should be sent to the University at this stage.
  • Ensure accuracy of uploaded data; the University is not responsible for portal errors.
  • Originals must be produced during physical verification.
