Orientation Cum Deeksharambh Program 2026

Orientation program for the newly admitted students 2026

The University is organizing Orientation cum Deeksharambh program on 18^th and 19^th August 2026 to welcome its new batch of students. All the newly admitted students are hereby informed to attend the program as per the following schedule.

(i) For all PG and PhD programs: 18^th August, 2026.

(ii) For all UG programs: 19^th August, 2026.

Programme (for both days)

10.00 a.m.: State Anthem followed by University Anthem

10.10 a.m.: Opening remark by Chairperson, Committee for Orientation cum Deeksharambh Program 2026-27.

10.15 a.m.: Address by Honourable Pro-Vice Chancellor, Prof. Amarendra Kumar Das

10.25 a.m.: Address by Prof. Ashim Jyoti Thakur, Dean, Academic Affairs

10.30 a.m.: Address by Prof. Manabendra Mandal, Dean, Students' Welfare

10.35 a.m.: Address by the Chief Proctor, Prof. Sadhan Mahapatra

10.40 a.m.: Address by the Chairperson, ICC

10.45 a.m.: ‘A JOURNEY TOWARDS A SUSTAINABLE CAMPUS’ by Prof. Ashalata Devi

10.50 a.m.: Speech by Distinguished Alumni

11.00 a.m.: Interaction with all Deans of Schools, to be moderated by Dean, Academic Affairs

11.25 a.m.: Vote of Thanks (Convenor-Dr. Rupjyoti Gogoi)

11.30 a.m.: National Anthem

Venue: KBR Auditorium

The Heads of the Departments/Centers are requested to ensure the participation of the newly admitted students in the orientation programme. Attendance will be taken on the venue.

All concerned students must take their seats in the Auditorium by 09.45 a.m. on the concerned date of the program.
