BITS Law School offers two five-year integrated degree programmes: B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.). Programme Curriculum
BITS Law School offers two five-year integrated honours programmes: the B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.). These programmes feature an interdisciplinary curriculum that blends mooting, clinical and legal education, internships, and Readiness at Workplace (RAW) modules. This approach provides a robust foundation in the social sciences, arts, and humanities, business and economics, essential for mastering and excelling in the legal field.

The programmes aim to elevate legal education and prepare students for successful careers in their chosen legal specialisations. Additionally, they focus on fostering a creative, socially conscious, and ethical mindset, deeply rooted in social and cultural practices.

Eligibility
Our admissions process is carefully designed to holistically evaluate each applicant, giving them every opportunity to demonstrate their strengths and abilities. Eligibility and evaluation parameters are as follows:
  • Applicant must have a minimum of 45% marks in Grade 12 or equivalent from a recognised board and a valid entrance exam score to participate in the admission process. This however does not guarantee selection to BITS Law School, which follows a holistic process based on a complete application form, marks in Grade 12, co/extra-curricular activities, personal interview, and an entrance exam score.
  • Law entrance examination scores accepted - BITS Law Admission Test/CLAT/LNAT/AILET/MHCET Law.
  • Co-curricular achievements.
  • Written and oral communication skills.
  • Applicants yet to receive their final grade 12 and/or law entrance exam scores are eligible to apply and will be expected to indicate in their application form that they are awaiting their results.
Admission Test
Students aspiring to pursue the five year B.A. LL.B./B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) at BITS Law School may wish to opt for the BITS Law Admission Test. Details of the test are as follows:
  • Mode: Online*
  • Proctored: Yes
  • Duration: 60 minutes
  • Format: 70 multiple-choice questions
  • Negative Marking: No
*You are required to have a laptop/computer with a working webcam/in-built camera with stable internet connection for this test.

The BITS Law Admission Test requires no prior preparation and is designed to assess students holistically in 4 key areas:
  • Attention to Detail – This section tests your ability to pay attention to finer details in a short span of time. It will test your ability to identify differences in patterns and elements, among other things
  • Reasoning Ability – This section assesses your ability to think critically and abstractly
  • Verbal Ability – This section evaluates your proficiency in reading comprehension, grammar, and sentence correction
  • Domain Ability – This section tests your current affairs and general knowledge
HOW TO APPEAR FOR THE BITS LAW ADMISSION TEST
  • Step 1: Indicate your interest to appear for the test in the ‘Entrance Test Details’ section of your application form.
  • Step 2: Once application form is submitted, a test link willl appear on your dashboard.
  • Step 3: Take the test online within 96 hours (4 days).

NOTE:
  • All four sections of the BITS Law Admission Test are given equal weightage.
  • Once you start the test, you must complete it in one sitting.
  • It is not compulsory to take the BITS Law Admission Test. Any of the following entrance test scores can be submitted to apply to BITS Law School:
    - BITS Law Admission Test
    - AILET
    - CLAT
    - LNAT
    - MH CET Law
    - SLAT
  • Students will not be given an upper hand by appearing for the BITS Law Admission Test. All the accepted entrance test scores are benchmarked against each other.
  • If a student submits more than one entrance test score, their best score will be considered during application processing.

*A non-refundable application fee of INR 1,000 is payable at the time of application submission.

*A 'one-time admission fee' of Rs 75,000 will be collected at the time of accepting the offer for admission in AY 2025-26. It will be adjusted in the tuition fee payment for Year 1.

** The Residence Fee includes housing, meals, access to a sports facility, and laundry service.

*** The fee is subject to an annual increase of up to 8% in the next year

  • A refundable security deposit of Rs. 20,000 will be collected with the year 1 tuition fee and will be refunded after the convocation to the student.

  • Three special Birla Scholarships for Legal Studies to four law aspirants with up to 100% tuition fee waiver.
    - G. D. Birla Scholarship for Legal Studies - tuition fee waiver up to 100%
    - K.K. Birla Scholarship for Legal Studies - tuition fee waiver up to 75%
    - Sarala Birla Scholarship for Legal Studies - tuition fee waiver up to 75%
  • Additionally, scholarships will be awarded under the following categories:
    - Merit & Means Based Scholarships - tuition fee waiver of up to 90%
    - Academic Merit Scholarships - tuition fee waiver of up to 75%
    - Diversity Scholarships - tuition fee waiver of up to 75%
