  • Eligibility:

    Graduation in any discipline with 50% marks or 5.5 CGPA considering all the subjects by regular full time course. The students appearing for the final graduation examination in the year 2026 may also apply but he/she has to score the above percentage up to pre-final semester, and to produce the final year graduation result fulfilling the above criterion at the time of admission, failure of which will lead to cancellation of candidature.

    Application fees can ONLY be paid online through NET Banking or offline through NEFT from Banks. The application form without Transaction ID/ Unique Transaction Reference number, and payment proof will not be accepted. Any other form of payment is not allowed.

  • Application Process:
    • STEP 1: Pay the application fees online through NET Banking or offline through NEFT from Banks to the Canara Bank Account, NIT, Durgapur (as per the information given above in bank details).
    • STEP 2: Collect the Transaction ID/ Unique Transaction Reference number as generated in NET banking (online) or from the bank where NEFT is done (offline).
    • STEP 3: Register and apply online at the link provided below: https://nitdgp.ac.in/pg/
  • Application Checklist:

    The following documents should be attached along with the on-line application form. An application without the copies of the required documents will be rejected.

    • Self-attested photocopy of marks sheet / Grade card of the 10th, 10+2, UG, PG (if any) and other university examinations (if any).
    • Self-attested photocopy of the certificate / provisional certificate of the qualifying examination
    • Self-attested photocopy of proof of date of birth
    • A recent color photograph
    • Proof of the application processing fee
    • Category certificate (OBC-NCL/OP-EWS/SC/ST/PwD) from a competent authority. For OBCNCL and OP-EWS candidates the certificate must be issued on or after April 01, 2026 by the competent authority.
  • Fee Structure:

    The total expenditure of the course is approximately INR 1.15 Lakhs. Tuition fee waiver as per Govt. of India norms shall be applicable for eligible students. The mess charges are extra which varies between INR 3000 – INR 5000 per month. Detailed Fee Structure shall be available in the website soon.

  • Hostel:

    The Institute is residential and hostel residency is compulsory. Notification about hostel admission will be intimated in due course of time.

  • Selection procedure:
    • The name of the eligible shortlisted candidates for Written Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview will be posted on the website.
    • The shortlisted candidate shall report to the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) at 9.00 am with all the originals of the documents that were mailed, on the date mentioned in the notice.
    • A Written Test of 50 marks (based on social science, aptitude, logical reasoning and current affairs), Group Discussion of 30 marks and Personal Interview of 20 marks will follow.
    • Based on the above, category-wise merit list will be prepared and will be posted on the website.
  • Admission:

    The selected candidates shall take admission by paying all the fees as per the schedule given in the advertisement. No separate intimation will be made. The hostel will be allotted on the same day.
