Admission Process
  • Step-1
    • Any foreign national with valid passport.
    • For Bhutan Nationals, passport is not mandatory
    • OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) Candidates / PIO (Person of Indian Origin)
  • Step-2
    • Application verification & scrutiny

    • Eligible students will receive provisional admission letter
    • Programme allotment on the ‘first-come, first served’ basis
  • Step-4
    • Advance Fee payment on or before deadline

    • Balance Tuition fee & Hostel fee payment on or before deadline

Application Process
Steps involved in the process of filling online application form
  • Stage-1: New User Registration
    • Enter all the relevant details carefully.
    • A password will be sent from VIT to your registered e-mail id.
    • All the communications will be sent to your registered e-mail id. Request for change of e-mail id will not be entertained under any circumstances.
  • Stage-2: Login with Password
    • Login to registered users with the email id and password received from VIT.
    • All communication related to application process will be received from no-reply@vit.ac.in only.
  • Stage-3: Filling Online Application Form
    • Provide all relevant details carefully, before submission.
    • An application number will be generated after completion.
    • Refer your application number for all future correspondence.
  • Stage-4: Photo Upload
    • The photograph must be taken against a light background. Only White/off-white background is preferred.
    • The photograph must show the full frontal view without tilting of face, both ears visible, open eyes with neutral expression.
    • Make sure there is no glare from spectacles and no blur in the focus.
    • The file should be only in JPEG format.
    • The file size of the photograph should be within 20 kB to 300 kB.
    • The photograph dimension should be of Width(300 to 400 pixels) X Height (400 to 550 pixels).
    • The photograph should not be too dark or too bright but should have optimum exposure.
    • The photograph should have only one face.
  • Stage-5: Documents Upload
    • Proof of Age & Nationality (Passport), Bhutan Nationals (Birth Certificate/National ID).
    • 11th grade marksheet/AS Level/Form V(for appearing candidates) & 12th grade mark sheet/A Level/Form VI (for passed out candidates) or any other document proof for list of subject taken provided from the school.
    • Both 11th and 12th Marksheets (for Nepal Education Board Candidates).
    Equivalent certificate from UGC(University Grants Commission) is mandatory, if passed from Universities/Boards other than India.
  • Stage-6: Download Application
    • Filled in application will be available for download after completion.
Eligibility
  • Any foreign national with valid passport.
  • For Bhutan nationals, passport is not mandatory.
  • OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) Candidates.
  • English should have been studied in the higher secondary level or the candidate should have studied in an English medium school.
  • A pass with Minimum aggregate of 55% in the above mentioned subjects in standard XII or its equivalent. For candidates from Nepal, A pass with minimum of 55% aggregate in the above subjects for Class 11 and Class 12 combined is mandatory.
  • Candidates who have studied Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology (PCMB/PCM) passed with Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects and the third subject as Chemistry / Computing Sciences / Electronics / Biology / Bio-technology and passed with minimum aggregate of 55% in PCM and with not less than 50% in Mathematics are eligible for all B.Tech Programmes.
  • Candidates who have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) passed with minimum aggregate of 55% in PCB and with not less than 50% in Biology are eligible only for the following programmes:
    - B.Tech. Biotechnology (VIT-Vellore, VIT-Chennai & VIT-AP)
    - B.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering (Bioinformatics), (VIT - Vellore)
    - B.Tech. Bioengineering (VIT - Bhopal)
    - B.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering (Health Informatics), (VIT - Bhopal)
    - B.Tech. Health Sciences and Technology (VIT - Vellore)
    - B.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering (Education Technology), (VIT - Bhopal)
  • English should have been studied in the higher secondary level or the candidate should have studied in an English medium school.
Note:
  • Applicants must provide their qualifying mark statement from the respective board for verification during admission to confirm its authenticity.
  • Any applicant who presents fraudulent or invalid documentation will face legal consequences, and their provisional admission will be revoked without refund.
