Extension of last date of admission for academic year 2026-27, session August, 2026 for Open and Distance Learning (ODL) programmes and Online programmes offered by recognized/entitled Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs)

For the benefit of the stakeholders, UGC has decided to extend the last date of admission for ODL Programmes and Online Programmes for academic session August, 2026 from 15^th September, 2026 to 13^th October, 2026. Accordingly, the last date for uploading of admission data through portal has also been extended from 18^th September, 2026 to 16^th October, 2026.

All HEIs offering programmes through ODL and/or Online mode are advised to adhere to the revised timeline and ensure compliance with the applicable regulations and guidelines issued by the UGC from time to time.

Further, UGC issued various detailed public notices from time to time (available at https://deb.ugc.ac.in/Notices/Index) informing stakeholders regarding programmes offered under ODL and/or Online mode.

Students are advised to verify the recognition status of both the programmes and the HEI under ODL/online mode on the UGC-DEB portal before taking admission.
