Final Schedule of Offline Counselling for Admission to the 2-Year M.A. in Islamic Theology (Programme Code: P08), 2026

It is hereby informed to all concerned that offline counselling for selecting the following specific study centre will be held on 9th September, 2026 for admission in 2 year M.A. in Islamic Theology programme.

Therefore, such candidates are also informed to complete the admission process by appearing physically with all necessary documents (Annexure-I , Page No.- 3/3) at the Aliah University Newtown Campus (Action Area IIA/27, New Town, Kolkata-700160) as per the following schedule. Candidates with valid rank card are informed to attend the counselling process accordingly. Counselling will continue strictly according to the notified time schedule based on the General Merit Rank (GMR). Candidates must have to reach at the venue and report at the registration desk first within the reporting time as mentioned above. If any candidate fails to attend on time, his/her allotment will be treated as cancelled.

Guidelines for Offline-Counselling:

• According to General Merit Rank (GMR), the candidates will be given chance to select the specific study centre, they want to take admission, till the seats in that particular study centre gets filled up.
• Candidates have to report within the notified time and have to register on the registration desk, where pre-verification of the documents will also be done. Reporting time of the candidates will be noted.
• After collecting the counselling form/ preference form, from the registration desk, candidates have to fill the form before entering to the counselling hall.
• Taking part in counselling process does not guarantee the admission.
• In case any candidate fails to attend the counselling process being present physically, his/her candidature will be cancelled.
• Any decision taken by the conducting authority in regard to any issue related to counselling will be deemed as final.
• According to the General Merit Rank (GMR) of the candidates, availability of the seats at the study centre, and choice of the candidates, an allotment letter will be issued to a candidate.
• After getting allotment, candidates have to appear for the document-verification/provisional admission process as mentioned below.
