Notice Regarding Offline Counselling for Admission to the 2 Year B.Ed. Programme (U32), 2026

It is hereby informed to all concerned candidates that offline counselling will be held for admission in the 2 year B.Ed. programme. Therefore, all such candidates with valid rank card are informed to appear physically with all the necessary documents listed in Annexure-I (Page No: 3/3) , and the required amount of admission fees (Rs. 6,050/- for internal candidates, Rs. 6,160/- for external candidates) at the Aliah University Newtown Campus (Action Area IIA/27, Newtown, Kolkata - 700 160) as per the following schedule.

Candidates belonging to the physically challenged (All PC Rank Holders) category, regardless of their applied method subject, must report on the 1st day of counselling (29/09/2026) at 10:00 A.M. sharp to attend the counselling process.

• Admission process will continue according to the notified time schedule based on the merit rank as stated above. Candidates will be given preference for admission according to the merit rank until the seats are filled.
• Candidates have to report within the notified time and have to register on the registration desk, where pre-verification of the documents will also be done. Reporting time of the candidates will be noted.
• Taking part in counselling process does not guarantee the admission.
• In case any candidate fails to attend the counselling process being present physically, his/her candidature will be cancelled.
• No candidate will be allowed to opt for a different method subject if they do not secure a seat in the method subject they originally applied for.
• After the counselling and getting allotment letter, candidates have to take on-spot admission by paying requisite amount of admission fees (Rs. 6,050/- for internal candidates, Rs. 6,160/- for external candidates). Modes of payment may be online, cash, or UPI.
• Physical verification of the documents will also be done on the same date. If everything remains accordingly, provisional Identity cards may then be issued to the admitted students only.
• Any decision taken by the conducting authority in regard to any issue related to counselling will be deemed as final.
