Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to the MSc program in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence for the academic year 2026-2027.

Eligibility to Apply

3-Years / 4-Years Bachelors or Masters degree from any discipline in Mathematical Sciences (Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, etc.) or Engineering from any recognised University/Institute with 60% marks in aggregate are eligible to apply. There is a relaxation of 5% for SC/ST candidates.
Candidates (Male) who have finished studies in the above disciplines OR awaiting the results of the final exam are also eligible to apply (admission is subject to securing 60% marks in aggregate, relaxation of 5% for SC/ST candidates).

How to Apply

For CUET qualified candidates:

Register & Login at https://isr.rkmvu.ac.in/admission/register .
Fill form & Attach documents (photo, mark sheets, certificates etc. including CUET PG scorecard – paper codes: SCQP09 / MTQP04 / MTQP05 / SCQP19 / SCQP27).
Submit form & Pay fee (INR 300.00 online via the Portal).
Download Receipt/Application-summary from the Dashboard.

Announcement of the short-listed candidates for the interview	02/06/2026 by 22:00 hrs.

For Non-CUET candidates:

Registration: Click here to register online and follow instructions sent in the email to complete the application form.
Pay Application Fee: Submit the INR 300.00 application fee online.
Upload Documents: Upload necessary documents (photo, mark sheets, certificates etc.).
Download Sumary & Receipt: Save the application summary and fee receipt after payment.
Admit Card: Check the portal for Admission Test/Interview dates and download your admit card when available.
RKMVERI Admission Test:
- Mode of Entrance test: Offline, to be held in the Belur Main Campus
- Venue of Entrance test:
  Belur Main Campus (just at the entrance of Belur Math)

Note:
- There is a possibility for candidates from outside West Bengal to give the test in some select centres of the Ramakrishna Math / Ramakrishna Mission nearby. Probable locations are: Ranchi, Coimbatore, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Agartala. Students desiring to appear in the entrance test from such locations may send a request to the department cs@gm.rkmvu.ac.in after completing the online application process.
- The request is to be made at least 10 days before the date of admission test. If the department fails to make such an arrangement, then the student will have to appear in the exam at the university’s Belur campus.

Topics for Admission Test
- Logical reasoning:
  - Logical connectives,
  - Statements and Conclusions,
  - Matching and sequences.
- Quantitative Aptitude:
  - Sets and Combinatorics,
  - Algebra (solutions of quadratic equations, inequalities, simultaneous linear equations, binomial theorem, series, AP, GP, HP, matrices),
  - Euclidean geometry, Coordinate geometry (lines, circles, conic sections),
  - Trigonometry (triangles, trigonometric identities, heights and distances),
  - Calculus (functions, limits, continuity, mean value theorem, derivative, maxima & minima, methods of integration, evaluation of areas using integration).
- Data Interpretation, Matrices, Probability.

Note: There will be negative marking in the admission test.
Interview: The candidates selected in the admission test will have to attend a face to face interview in the Belur Main Campus of RKMVERI on the appointed date.

Fees Structure

Academic fee (includes Fee for Tuition/Exam/ID-card, etc.) for each Semester	INR 25,000/-
Refundable Caution Deposit	INR 3,000/-
Total fees to be paid during admission	25,000/- + 3,000/- = INR 28,000/- (Admission fees must be paid within last date as mentioned in the admission instruction)
Total fees to be paid at the beginning of every subsequent semester (6 months)	Rs. 25,000/-
