• Students who will be completing B.Sc. with Honours/Major in Physics or B.Tech. in Engineering Physics during the current academic year or who have completed such courses during the previous year.
• “Graduate with Major” in Physics qualification after six semesters under the NEP framework is eligible for admission to our M.Sc. programme.
• Students who have passed before 2024 are not eligible.
• Students who secured at least 60% marks in the honours or major subject (taking into consideration the marks obtained in the examinations conducted so far) from any University/College approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) are eligible to apply.
• SC/ST candidates will enjoy a 5% concession in the minimum eligibility of marks.

• For CUET qualified candidates:
  • New applicants have to first register on the Online Admission Portal (https://isr.rkmvu.ac.in/admission ), then login and fill up the online application form.
  • While filling up the online application-form attach the scanned copies of your passport size photo, mark-sheets and other applicable certificates/documents.
  • Candidates applying with CUET score should qualify CUET PG exam (paper code SCQP24) and upload score card at the time of application.
  • After successfully submitting the application form, pay the application fee (INR 300.00) online from the same Portal. Link can be found under ‘Options’ next to the program name on the Dashboard.
  • Once Application-form is successfully submitted and application-fee is paid, Receipt (also Application-summary) will be available for download from the same Portal from the ‘Dashboard‘.

Note: Only full-time scholars will be admitted for the Ph.D. programme. No application for part-time Ph.D. will therefore be entertained.

• Academic fee (includes Fee for Tuition/Exam/ID-card, etc.) for each Semester: INR 25,000/-
• Refundable Caution Deposit: INR 3,000/-
• Total fees to be paid during admission: TNR 25,000/- + INR 3,000/- = INR 28,000/- (Admission fees must be paid within last date as mentioned in the admission instruction)
• Total fees to be paid at the beginning of every subsequent semester (6 months): Rs. 25,000/-
• Total fees to be paid at the beginning of every subsequent semester (for Students admitted prior to 2025-26): Rs. 20,000/-

Scholarship list, eligibility and details are given below. Almost all students get Swami Vivekananda Scholarship (given in the list) if other scholarships are not available.

Please, do not worry about financial support.

There will be no scholarship for admission fees or the hostel charges at the time of admission. Candidates have to pay the admission fee and hostel charges (if opted for the hostel) at the time of admission. On the basis of the student’s academic performance and economic background scholarship may be provided in the subsequent semesters. There are State and National scholarships. The Institute will try to ensure that most of the students having economic difficulty get some scholarship.
