UG Admission

The applicant must be an Indian citizen and a permanent resident of Assam (With a valid PRC of Assam issued by the competent authority). Candidates must pass 10+2 examination in a single sitting without any grace marks in the mandatory relevant subjects at 10+2 level as mentioned in Table-I and also must be passed individually both in theory and practical. Candidates must secure a minimum of 45% (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the subjects taken together in the qualifying examination (10+2) as per AICTE approval process handbook 2024-2027.The candidates must not be below 17 years on the date of appearing in the entrance examination and there is no maximum age limit.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLICANTS SEEKING RESERVATIONS UNDER OTHER CATEGORIES

Applicants seeking admission under Differently able, Son/Daughter of permanent in service Employees of Gauhati University, Son/Daughter of Ex-Employees of Gauhati University, Son/Daughter of Ex-Defence Personnel, Fringe Village, NCC/NSS, Extra-curricular& Co-curricular Activities, etc. must apply online and take a printout of the Application Form after submitting it online.
The entrance test syllabus will be based on the Higher Secondary curriculum prescribed by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC), Assam. The question paper will carry a total of 100 marks and will have a duration of 2 hours. It will include subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology/Biotechnology.

ESSENTIAL POINTS TO BE NOTED BY APPLICANTS BEFORE APPLYING ONLINE

Applicants are required to apply online ONLY.
Each applicant must scan his/her photograph and signature, ensuring that both the photograph and signature comply with the required specifications as mentioned in the upload section of the online application process.
Signature in CAPITAL LETTERS will NOT be accepted.
Keep all the necessary details/documents/certificates ready for the documents upload section.
Applicants must have a valid personal email ID and contact number, which should be kept active till the completion of this admission process. Under no circumstances, he/she should share/mentioned-mail ID to/of any other person. In case an applicant does not have a valid personal e-mail ID, he/she should create his/her new e-mail ID before applying online and must maintain that email account.

The applicants seeking reservations under other categories must submit the printed copy of their application form along with other necessary documents to the office of the Secretary, University Classes, G.U.as stated in the important instructions for applicants seeking reservations under other categories.
