Online applications are invited for the eligible candidates for the admissions to M.Sc. (2 Year) degree programmes in Mathematics, Materials Science, Medical Physics, Applied Chemistry, Applied Geology and Electronic Media offered in the College of Engineering Guindy (CEG) for the academic year 2026-27.
Details relating to fee and eligibility, etc., are available in the official website www.annauniv.edu .
Candidates can register only through Online mode.

  • An Industry applying for sponsorship shall be either Public Limited or Private Limited.
  • The Industry must have been registered under the Indian Companies Act, 1956 having works / factories within Tamil Nadu / Andhra Pradesh / Telangana / Karnataka / Kerala / Puducherry.
  • The Company shall be a reputed one and engaged in the manufacturing / productivity process or other related process of any material which shall be related to the discipline under any one of the branches, viz., Computer Science & Electronic Media. The Company must have been registered at least three years prior to the date of signing of the MoU with Anna University.
  • The Industry must have been registered at least three years prior to the date of signing of the MoU with Anna University.
  • The annual turnover of the industry, averaged over the last three financial years should be greater than or equal to Rs. 1 crore.
  • It is mandatory to submit the details of PAN, GSTIN & EPF registration.
  • The Industry shall upload the Balance Sheets and ITR returns for the last three financial years (2022-23, 2023-24 & 2024-25).
  • The industry should submit the auditor certificate as per the format (Annexure-I ) attached.
  • An Industry can submit an online application for sponsoring a candidate to M.Sc. (5-year Integrated) in Computer Science) / Electronic Media.
  • Companies desirous of sponsoring a candidate for (a) M.Sc. Computer Science (b) M.Sc. (Electronic Media) shall register applications separately for (a) & (b).
  • The Registered e-mail id of the Industry (SPoC) will receive all the communications. However, during the Registration of application, the e-mail id and DINof the Managing Director (MD) of the company is to be provided. A declaration in the format (Annexure-II ) duly signed by the MD should be uploaded during the Online application process.
  • All communications will be sent to the registered e-mail id and copied to that of the MD and that of the candidate. All the correspondence will be strictly through e-mail / AU website only.
  • An Inspection Committee appointed by the Vice-Chancellor will inspect all the infrastructure facilities of the company and interact with the competent authorities of the company and technical staff members. The committee will submit its recommendation on the qualification of the company which includes a clear and committed projection of future exchange activities with the University, to come under the ambit of the ‘Consortium of Industries’ and the appropriate branch of study for future Collaboration.
  • The industries shall provide the following:
    • Registered Office address
    • Address of the Industry owned facility / Infrastructure to be inspected by the Committee. After the submission of the online application, any change in the address will not be accepted.
  • During the online application process the industry will have to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 2,500/- (+18% GST).
  • The industry will have to pay a non-refundable Inspection Fee during the online application process as detailed below:
    • Rs. 30,000/- (+18% GST), if the Inspection venue is in the district of Chennai / Thiruvallur / Kanchipuram / Chengalpet.
    • Rs. 40,000/- (+18% GST), if the Inspection venue is in the other districts of Tamil Nadu
    • Rs. 50,000/- (+18% GST) for Industries outside Tamil Nadu
  • If an industry is rejected by the Inspection Committee, the industry may appeal within 3 working days by paying a non-refundable fee of Rs. 40,000/- (+18% GST). The appeal received from the registered email of the SPoC of the industry/AU website alone will be considered. A Three Member Committee may be appointed by the Vice-Chancellor to re-inspect. The decisionofthe committee is final.
  • The eligibility conditions and the ranking criteria for the sponsored candidate:
    • Candidate should be an Indian Citizen.
    • Candidate should satisfy one of the Nativity criteria specified in Annexure-III .
    • Ranking / Eligibility:
      • M.Sc. (Computer Science)
        A pass in HSC (Academic), with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as three of the four subjects of study prescribed under Part-III or its equivalent with a minimum average mark of 45% for OC, 40% for BC/BCM/MBC & DNC/SC/SCA/ST category. Theaverage mark refers to the marks obtained in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together.
        The merit list will be prepared based on the aggregate marks obtained for 300 (Mathematics- 100; Physics- 100; Chemistry- 100).
        In cases where more than one candidate have got the same marks in the common merit list, the inter-se-merit among such candidates shall be determined in the order of priority as specified below.
        (i) percentage of marks in Mathematics
        (ii) percentage of marks in Physics
        (iii) percentage of marks in the optional subject
        (iv) percentage of total marks in XII Standard Examination
        (v) date of birth (elder will be given preference) and
        (vi) Random number Assigned (higher value will be given preference).
      • M.Sc. Electronic Media
        Candidates should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination of 10+2 Curriculum of any group under Part-III or any other Examination of any University (or) authority approved by Anna University, as equivalent there to.
        A merit list will be prepared based on the percentage of marks obtained in the subjectsunder Part III (Except Part I - Language and Part II - English).
        In cases where more than one student have got the same marks in the common merit list, the inter-se-merit among such students shall be determined in the order of priority as specified below:
        (i) Percentage of Total marks in the qualifying Examination
        (ii) Date of Birth
        (iii) Random number assigned.
  • No communal reservation is followed for allotment under Consortium of Industries.
  • Only 5% of the total sanctioned intake in each branch of study is available for Consortium of Industries quota.

Application, Counseling and Admission Process
  • The Industry can register & fill in the application online through the website https://cfa.annauniv.edu/cfa
  • A non-refundable Application Fee of Rs. 2,500/- (+18% GST) shall be paid by the company.
  • List of documents to be uploaded is given in Annexure-IV.
  • The Industry shall pay a non-refundable Inspection Fee as applicable.
  • If the company is qualified and the candidate is eligible, the candidate will be asked to participate in Counselling in the order of Merit.
  • If the candidate is successful in securing a seat, the sponsoring company shall execute an MoU with the University, which shall contain the terms and conditions of Anna University.
  • The Industry shall pay the necessary Consortium Fee to the University, prior to the signing of the MoU. The Payment is to be made Online in favour of ‘The Director, Centre for Admissions, Anna University, Chennai – 25’. This amount shall not berefunded under any circumstances. The Consortium fee for M.Sc. (5 year) Integratedis as follows:
