Online applications are invited from eligible candidates for the admissions to M.E. / M.Tech. / M.Arch. / M.Plan. degree programmes offered in College of Engineering Guindy (CEG), Alagappa College of Technology (ACT), Madras Institute of Technology(MIT) and School of Architecture and Planning (SAP) under Consortium of Industries Category for the academic year 2026-27.
Online application forms, details relating to fee and eligibility etc., are available in the official website of Anna University www.annauniv.edu .
Candidates can register only through Online mode.

An Industry applying for sponsorship shall be either Public Limited or Private Limited.
The Industry must have been registered under the Indian Companies Act, 1956 havingworks / factories within Tamil Nadu / Andhra Pradesh / Telangana / Karnataka / Kerala / Puducherry.
The Company shall be a reputed one and engaged in the manufacturing / productivity process or other related process of any material which shall be related to the discipline under anyoneofthe faculties, viz., Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information & Communication Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering / Faculty of Technology / Faculty of Architecture & Planning of Anna University.
The Industry must have been registered at least three years prior to the date of signing of theMoU with Anna University.
The annual turnover of the industry, averaged over the last three financial years shouldbegreater than or equal to Rs. 1 crore.
It is mandatory to submit the details of PAN, GSTIN & EPF registration.
The Industry shall upload the Balance Sheets and ITR returns for the last three financial years (2022-23, 2023-24 & 2024-25).
The industry should submit the auditor certificate as per the format (Annexure-I ) attached.
An Industry can submit an online application for sponsoring a candidate to a specific Faculty of Engineering / Technology / Architecture & Planning of Anna University.
The list of Faculties of Engineering / Technology / Architecture & Planning and the corresponding M.E. / M.Tech. / M.Plan. / M.Arch. programmes falling under the ambit of Consortium of Industries are specified in Annexure-I . The sponsored candidate becomes eligible for all the branches specified under the Faculty of Engineering / Technology / Architecture & Planning of the sponsorship application.
The Registered e-mail id of the Industry (SPoC) will receive all the communications. However, during the Registration of application, the e-mail id and DINof the Managing Director (MD) of the company is to be provided. A declaration in the format (Annexure-II ) duly signed by the MD should be uploaded during the Online application process. All communications will be sent to the registered e-mail id and copied to that of the MD and that of the candidate. All the correspondence will be strictly through e-mail / AU website only.
The application uploaded through Online mode by the company along with all the relevant documents shall be processed by a Committee constituted by the Vice-Chancellor.
An Inspection Committee appointed by the Vice-Chancellor will inspect all the infrastructure facilities of the company and interact with the competent authorities of the company and technical staff members. The committee will submit its recommendation on the qualification of the company which includes a clear and committed projection of future exchange activities with the University, to come under the ambit of the ‘Consortium of Industries’ and the appropriate Faculty of Engineering / Technology / Architecture & Planning of the University for future collaborative work.

Address of the Industry owned facility / Infrastructure to be inspected by the Committee. After the submission of the online application, any change in the address will not be accepted.
During the online application process, the industry will have to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 2,500/- (+ 18% GST).
The industry will have to pay a non-refundable Inspection Fee during the online application process as detailed below:
Rs. 30,000/- (+ 18% GST), if the Inspection venue is in the district of Chennai / Thiruvallur / Kanchipuram / Chengalpet
Rs. 40,000/- (+ 18% GST), if the Inspection venue is in the other districts of Tamil Nadu
Rs. 50,000/- (+ 18% GST) for Industries outside Tamil Nadu
If an industry is rejected by the Inspection Committee, the industry may appeal within 3 working days by paying a non-refundable fee of Rs. 40,000/- (+ 18% GST). The appeal received from the registered email of the SPoC of the industry/AU website alone will be considered. A Three Member Committee may be appointed by the Vice-Chancellor to reinspect. The decision of the committee is final.
The eligibility conditions and the ranking criteria for the sponsored candidate:
Candidate should be an Indian Citizen.
Candidate should satisfy one of the Nativity criteria specified in Annexure-III .
Ranking / Eligibility:
Eligibility and Merit List are as per CEAP 2026 norms. The candidate has to satisfy the conditions prescribed under (A) and (B) of this section.
(A). Candidates who have passed all the subjects in the recognized Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent field in the qualifying degree examination as per AICTE norms are eligible.
Candidates of the following categories may also apply for admission:
All Eligible Candidates including Candidates appearing for the final semester/year University examination of the qualifying degree programmes in April/May 2026 (except A.M.I.E. and other similar certificates of various professional bodies) are eligible. They should produce Original Degree/Provisional Certificate & Consolidated Mark Sheet/Mark Sheets for all semesters and Transfer Certificate during Admission, to the Respective Dean/Principal. If they fail to do so, the Provisional Allotment automatically stands cancelled. Such candidates will not be admitted to the Programme.
Candidates with Section ‘A’ & ‘B’ certificates (e.g. A.M.I.E.) of the Institution of Engineers and other similar certificates of various professional bodies for example(Aeronautical Society of India), recognized by the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India and enrolled before 31.5.2013 are considered to be equivalent to B.E./B.Tech. degree holders for admission to M.E. M.Tech. degree programs subject to the following conditions (a) & (b).
Candidates should have studied 10 + 2 years Higher Secondary. + AMIE (with 2 years experience) (or) 10 + 3 Years diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) + AMIE (with 2 years of experience after passing AMIE).
Should have Two years regular full time Teaching experience / Industrial experience in the relevant field after passing all the subjects including project work. The experience certificate will have to be produced by the candidate.
The eligible branches for the various PG programmes are listed in Annexure-VI . Note:
The candidate is not eligible if the qualifying degree is a one year PG degree program.
The candidate is not eligible if the qualifying degree B.E./B.Tech. is obtained through Distance Mode / Week End Mode.
Candidates who have obtained the qualifying degree without studying X std. OR XII std. (other than 10+3 Diploma holders) are not eligible.
(B). The candidates should have
CEETA PG 2026 percentile score (or)
GATE 2024 / 2025 / 2026 qualified score in the appropriate discipline of Engineering / Technology (or)
GATE 2024 / 2025 / 2026 qualified score in Engineering Science (XE) and Life Science (XL) papers along with CEETA PG 2026 percentile score.
No communal reservation is followed for allotment under Consortium of Industries.
Only 5% of the total sanctioned intake in each branch of study is available for Consortium of Industries quota.
A non-refundable Application Fee of Rs. 2,500/- (+ 18% GST) per Faculty (Engineering / Technology / Architecture & Planning) shall be paid by the Industry.

The Industry shall pay a non-refundable Inspection Fee as applicable.
If the company is qualified and the candidate is eligible, the candidate will be asked to participate in Counselling in the order of Merit.
The candidate is eligible for allotment of seats in any one of the branches under the Faculty of Engineering / Technology / Architecture & Planning for which the company has qualified.
If the candidate is successful in securing a seat, the sponsoring company shall execute an MoU with the University, which shall contain the terms and conditions of Anna University.
The Industry shall pay the necessary Consortium Fee to the University, prior to the signing of the MoU. The Payment is to be made Online in favour of ‘The Director, Centre for Admissions, Anna University, Chennai – 25’. This amount shall not be refunded under any circumstances. The Consortium fee for M.E./M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Plan is as follows:
