- Selection Procedure 2024
Incomplete application in any respect will be summarily rejected.
Merit lists of the candidates for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Geological Sciences and Geography will be prepared as follows:
For Physics | Final merit list be prepared on the basis of (i) 50% weightage of marks obtained in average of Chemistry, Mathematics & Physics in 10+2 Board Examination and (ii) 50% weightage of the performance in written admission test. |
For Chemistry | Final merit list be prepared on the basis of (i) 50% weightage of marks obtained in average of Chemistry, Mathematics & Physics in 10+2 Board Examination and (ii) 50% weightage of the performance in written admission test. |
For Mathematics | Admission be made strictly according to the marks obtained in the 10+2 Board examination. There will be no Admission Test. Mathematics (marks obtained in the 10+2 Board examination X 2) and best of any two subjects from Chemistry/ Physics/ Computer Science/ Statistics: (Score out of 400) |
For Geography | Final merit list be prepared on the basis of (i) 50% weightage of marks obtained in average of Mathematics and best of any two subjects from Physics, Chemistry, Geography, Geology, Statistics, Computer Science & Economics in 10+2 Board Examination and (ii) 50% weightage of the performance in written admission test. |
For Geological Sciences | Admission be made strictly according to the marks obtained in the 10+2 Board examination. There will be no Admission Test. Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics : (Score out of 300) |
In case of bunching of marks in the merit lists for admission of the last candidate the selection be made as per the following criteria:
For PHYSICS |
1st Level: Marks obtained in Physics at 10+2 level 2nd Level: Marks obtained in Mathematics at 10+2 level 3rd Level: Marks obtained in Chemistry at 10+2 level 4th Level: Marks obtained in written admission test |
For CHEMISTRY |
1st Level: Marks obtained in Chemistry at 10+2 level 2nd Level: Marks obtained in Mathematics at 10+2 level 3rd Level: Marks obtained in Physics at 10+2 level 4th Level: Marks obtained in written admission test |
For MATHEMATICS |
1st Level: Marks obtained in Mathematics at 10+2 level 2nd Level: Marks obtained in best of four (4) subjects at 10+2 level 3rd Level: Marks obtained in Mathematics at Class 10 board exam |
For GEOLOGICAL SCIENCES |
1st Level: Marks obtained in Mathematics at 10+2 level 2nd Level: Marks obtained in Physics at 10+2 level 3rd Level: Marks obtained in Chemistry at 10+2 level 4th Level: Marks obtained in best of four (4) subjects at 10+2 level 5th Level: Marks obtained in Mathematics at Class 10 board exam |
