Admission Process Flow
Single Window Admission Process (UG) 2026-27
  • Online applications for Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes for the academic year 2026–2027 will be available on the college website (www.psgcas.ac.in) from March / April 2026 onwards.
  • A single application can be used to apply for all eligible programmes. Candidates may choose Aided and Self-financing programmes separately on the same application.
  • Candidates must use their own or parent’s mobile number and email ID to log into the application portal. Once entered, these details cannot be edited. All communication will be sent only to the registered contact details.
  • Applicants must enter personal, academic, and special category details and select whether they are applying for Aided or Self-financing programmes along with the programme stream (BA, B.Sc., B.Com., BBA).
  • Based on eligibility criteria and subjects studied in the qualifying examination, eligible programmes for admission counselling will be displayed for the candidate to choose from.
  • The information entered will be verified. Correct applications will be marked as “Verified”, while discrepancies will be marked as “Needs Correction”. Candidates will be notified if uploaded documents are unclear.
  • Applicants must upload soft copies of the following documents:
    • Recent passport-size photograph
    • 10th Mark Sheet
    • Community Certificate
    • Aadhaar Card
    • Special Category Certificate (if applicable)
    • 12th Hall Ticket / 11th Mark Sheet
    • 12th Result Copy (for UG – after publication of results)

Allotment of Counselling Dates
Publication of counselling schedule, rank list, and applicant notifications
  • On the second day after the publication of 12th results for the TNHSE Board, tentative admission counselling dates, slots, and sessions will be published on the college website.
  • On the third day after the publication of 12th results, the application registration portal will be closed at 5:00 PM. Any document submitted thereafter will be marked as “Late Application”.
  • The rank list containing both overall rank and community-based rank will be published on the same day after portal closure.
  • After the registration process is closed and the rank list is generated, call-for lists for Language, Arts, and Science programmes will be prepared based on the marks scored in the respective qualifying subjects.
  • Exact counselling dates, sessions, and time slots will be finalised and published on the college website for eligible candidates.
  • Selected candidates will receive an individual email to their registered email ID with details of the allotted counselling date, slot, and session.
  • Applicants can log in to the application portal at any time to track the status of their application, programme vacancy details, ranking, and other relevant updates.

Admission Counselling Process
Step-by-step counselling, seat allocation, and admission confirmation
  • On the fourth day after the publication of TNHSE results, admission counselling for special category candidates (Sports, NCC, Ex-Servicemen, Differently-Abled) will be conducted as per the respective category rank.
  • On the fifth day, counselling for regular candidates will commence according to the published rank list.
  • Candidates will be segregated into Arts, Science, and Language programmes based on the subjects studied in the qualifying examination. Counselling sessions for Arts and Science will be conducted separately at designated venues within the campus.
  • Candidates must report to the counselling venue with their counselling slip, internet-published marks, and counselling details as mentioned in the email communication.
  • Each candidate will be allowed to enter the waiting hall along with one parent and must wait until their turn is announced. Programme vacancies will be displayed and updated in real time.
  • Candidates whose applications are marked as “Conditionally Verified” must complete document verification at the designated counters in the waiting hall before proceeding to counselling.
  • Candidates must prepare a prioritised list of at least five preferred programmes before entering the counselling hall.
  • Upon entering the counselling room, the candidate shall submit the counselling slip to the counsellor, who will verify the unique ID and application details.
  • After verification, eligible programmes along with available vacancies (Merit, Community-Based, and Management Quota) will be displayed for selection.
  • Once a programme is selected, transfer to another programme is not permitted.
  • The counsellor will generate the seat allocation request and provide a printed admission slip containing the declaration and fee payment instructions. If no vacancy is available, the application will be marked as “On Hold”.
  • The declaration form must be duly filled and signed by both the candidate and the accompanying parent and submitted to the counsellor.
  • Fee payment can be made online through the application portal or via cash/card at the respective Aided or Self-Financing office counters. Online payment systems will be available near the counselling venues.
  • Fees must be paid on or before the date specified in the admission slip. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of admission and the seat being offered in subsequent counselling sessions.
  • Subsequent steps in the admission process will be communicated to candidates through registered email from time to time.
  • Candidates unable to attend counselling due to valid reasons may request re-counselling through the application portal or by emailing admission@psgcas.ac.in, subject to seat availability.
  • Re-counselling will be conducted strictly based on available vacancies under merit and management quotas.
  • Candidates who do not wish to continue in the allotted programme may withdraw by submitting a written request at the college.
