Admission to 4-year B.A. (Hons.) Courses for the academic year 2025-26
IMPORTANT INFORMATION

• Check University website regularly for all updates.
• Candidates must produce the admit card with two self attested photograph of the candidate pasted on it at the time of written admission test.
• Before applying please read/print the eligibility criteria & selection procedure carefully.
• Before starting the registration process, you are advised to consult the 'How to Apply' section at the bottom.
• Each candidate will need to register only once. After registration, he/she can apply to as many departments he/she wishes (if eligible). He/she must note the Login-ID for future use.

• After each application, he/she will get a unique Application No. Using this No he/she can relogin into the system.
• Candidates do not have to pay any application fees as per the order of Govt of West Bengal.
• If any Board does not provide any marks (only grade) to the candidates in class 10th board examination, then the candidates of that particular Board have to convert their grades into marks as per the rules of that concerned Board and should enter that marks into the online application form.
• IMPORTANT: If any candidate wants to fill the form second time, he/she has to enter his/her H.S. or equivalent Registration No./Index No. followed by dup (for example, if your H.S. or equivalent Registration No./Index No. is 5008456 then you will have to enter 5008456dup).
• No separate communication in the form of email/SMS/phone will be made to the candidates. All necessary information will be available in the website only.
• Before submitting the filled in application form on line, the student must check that s/he has entered all marks correctly. The university will not be held responsible for any incorrect entry of marks or incorrect information provided by the student in the application form.
• It is being brought to the notice of all concerned that Ragging is not only a social evil but also a penal offence. Any student/s indulging in ragging of any student/s including freshers during admission / interview and / or subsequently at the hostel or in the class or in the corridors or anywhere inside and outside of the campus, shall be severely dealt with on pain of punishment ranging from loss of academic year / loss of hostel boardership to expulsion from the university itself. Reporting to the Police Station may also be made in addition to the above punishment. The University is to follow all the directives of the "UGC REGULATION ON CURBING THE MENACE OF RAGGING IN HIGHER EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS, 2009" under the direction of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India. • As per Rules of the Government of West Bengal, Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes / OBC of the States other than West Bengal are not entitled to get the benefit of reserved quota in Educational Institutions in West Bengal, unless they can produce a domicile certificate of 10-year residency issued by the competent authority.
