For Indian Students
All Indian students are required to take the Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED), which will be held on 12th Jan 2025 No candidate is entitled to seek admission to SSPAD without a valid SEED score. Validity of SEED score is for one year only.

About Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED)
Mode of SEED Exam: Online Proctored (PC/Laptop based exam).
Exam timings: One hour between 10:00 A.M. to 04:00 P.M. on the test day.
SEED Exam test structure: The SEED will be a 60 minutes exam having 60 questions. The questions could be MCQ, Match the Columns, Fill in the blanks, image-based and comprehension based.

How to appear for SEED?
Register online for SEED at www.sspad.edu.in. Facility of payment of SEED fee and printing of Admit Card is available online. A student aspiring to pursue an undergraduate programme at Symbiosis needs to follow the steps mentioned below:
The paper will contain a mix of questions related to Visual Sensitivity and Judgement, Observational, Perceptual and Reasoning abilities, Problem Solving, Basic knowledge of Logic of Science and Mathematics, Art, Craft and Culture, Design and Environment.

Step 1: Register online by paying Rs. 3,250/- (Rs. 2,250/- for SEED & Rs. 1,000/- for SSPAD)

Final selection would be based on the cumulative performance of the candidate in Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED), Portfolio Review, PRPI Task and Personal Interaction as well as on the basis of the information provided by the candidate in the application form and the chosen specialization.

Admission to B.Des programme of SSPAD will be according to the following process.

• Level 1: Online Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED). The result of SEED will be put up on the SSPAD website as per the schedule. If a candidate qualifies SEED, he/she would be eligible to appear for SSPAD’s Portfolio Review and Personal Interaction (PRPI). Shortlisting for admission will be based only by specialization selected during online registration.
• Level 2: Upload the Portfolio on the portal a day prior to the PRPI. For portfolio specifications.
• Level 3: Perform the PRPI Task. This will be shared 3 days prior to the chosen date of online PRPI. Upload the PRPI Task on the portal a day prior to the PRPI.
• Level 4: Appear for the online Portfolio Review and Personal Interaction (PRPI).

SEED is a design aptitude test examining color, geometry, visual observations, creative thinking abilities, general design awareness, awareness on Indian culture, craft and traditions etc.

Important Notes: SSPAD the b des colleges in Maharashtra fees could increase by, up to 10% during the period of the programme. Fees would also be impacted by any introduction / change in Government Taxes as and when applicable.

• A candidate must have passed 10+2 (any stream; eg. Science, Commerce, Arts, etc.) or equivalent
  OR
  10+3 diploma approved by State Board of Technical Education with minimum 50% aggregate marks obtained in the final examination to be eligible for the above-mentioned programme.
• A candidate appearing for the final examination of 10+2 grade or 10+3 Diploma programme may also apply provided the results of the examination should have been declared by June of the admission year or prior to be eligible for the above mentioned programme.

Nagpur Domicile
25% (Twenty-five percent) seats are reserved for candidates domiciled in Nagpur.
Meaning of "Nagpur Domiciled" Candidates for admission to UG programmes:
"Nagpur Domiciled" means persons, who are domiciled in Nagpur for a period of 5 (five) years as on the date of commencement of the academic year, and who have class XII from Maharashtra State Board or equivalent exam or Degree certificate or are appearing for the qualifying examination of Nagpur University before admission to the programme.

• Domicile certificate issued by the competent authority (Collector`s office).
• Standard XIIth Marksheet. Applicants appearing Standard XII can submit Bonafide certificate from the current institution and Standard Xth Mark sheet.
• Last five year education documents which prove the Nagpur domicile category.

Desirable
The candidate should possess Creative Aptitude & Skills necessary to pursue Design Education as well as adoptability to the situations, which the profession demands. Candidates with the relevant portfolio would be preferred.
