Citizens of India who have obtained the following qualifications shall be eligible to apply for the M. Pharm course:
A Pass in B. Pharm. Degree examination of an Indian university established by law in India from an institution approved by Pharmacy Council of India and has scored not less than 55% of the maximum marks (aggregate of all semesters of B.Pharm.).
Every student, selected for admission to post graduate pharmacy program in any PCI approved institution should have obtained registration with the State Pharmacy Council or should obtain the same within one month from the date of his/her admission.

Candidates who are already pursuing any other course or service are not eligible for admission. However, candidates completing the course or resigning from the course or service before the date of counseling will be eligible to get admission.
The candidate will have to furnish the marksheets of all B Pharm semester examinations or the receipt of acceptance of the resignation letter from the employer if the case necessitates at the time of counseling.

The course will consider PWD candidates as eligible if they certify their disability to be less than 40% of the various benchmark disabilities as detailed in RPWD Act, 2016. The PWD certificate; indicating the extent of disability has to be certified from the Dept. of Physical Medicine, IPGME&R, Kolkata.

The written test will be held at the University premises or anywhere else as detailed in the admit card at time and date enumerated later in this document and as instructed in the admit card. The candidates are required to attend to the examination hall half an hour prior to the beginning of the examination and no candidate will be allowed to enter the hall after examination commences.

The examination will be of one hour and twenty minutes in duration during which no candidate will be allowed to leave the examination hall under any circumstances even if the candidate has finished the examination. They will leave the examination hall only after all the OMRs are collected and duly matched with the attendance sheet.

The candidate will have to carry a valid photo ID (such as Passport / AADHAR Card / Voter ID / Driving License) which will have to be produced to the invigilator at the examination hall.

The candidate can only carry the admit card for the test and the photo ID in the examination hall. The OMR sheet, question paper and the ball point pen – all will be supplied from the University.

The candidates are instructed to write their roll nos., series and serial no. of the question booklet very carefully on the OMR sheet and blacken the corresponding circles. They will put their Name, Name of the Test the candidate has appeared in, centre of examination and full signature over the OMR sheet. Candidates must remember that the OMR sheets are not replaced under any circumstances. So they should be handling it cautiously so that it does not get damaged or soiled in any respect and blotted with ink on anywhere of it. This can hamper the scanning of the OMR sheets.

The examinations will be of single best response type MCQs set in English language. Correct response to each of the questions will carry one mark. There will be negative marking for wrong answers. Multiple responses to any question will be regarded as wrong even if any of the options selected was the correct option. One mark will be given for the correct answer to the questions and one-fourth will be deducted for wrong answers. No marks will be deducted for questions not answered.

There will be one hundred MCQs in the question paper; set on the standard syllabus prescribed for the qualifying examinations. The standard of questions will be of B.Pharm and will be on all the different subjects covered under the syllabus of it.

The candidates are advised to be careful enough to blacken the circles on the OMR sheet as their chosen response. The entire circle will have to be blackened, though the candidate need not be artistic in doing so. There is no possibility to change the response on the OMR sheet as blackening of more than one circle will mean double response and will automatically be processed as wrong response.
The candidates are instructed to fill in the proforma of application appended at the end of this Information Booklet and attach the photocopies of the documents as instructed therein. One candidate is allowed to appear in any one of the courses depending upon the eligibility degree obtained by him. The applications should be accompanied with a demand draft of Rs. 5,000/- (Rs. Five thousand only) drawn in favour of "The West Bengal University of Health Sciences", payable at Kolkata as the Processing fees for the entrance examination and subsequent counseling. The filled in proforma for the course will have to be deposited at the office of the Controller of Examinations (CoE), WBUHS, within 04:00 P.M. on 10th October, 2025 either personally or by 13th October, 2025 by post. But in any case, the draft has to be purchased on or before 10th October. 2025. The candidates are instructed to keep a photocopy of the filled on proforma duly signed by the person receiving it at the office of CoE or the receipt of posting the proforma to the postal department with them as the proof of submission of the proforma. It will be required at the time of counselling.
