The secondary education board has issued a strict directive to examiners involved in evaluating Madhyamik answer scripts, emphasizing the need for complete security and confidentiality throughout the assessment process.
In an official notice released on Wednesday, the board informed examiners that the written scripts from the Class X examinations, which concluded on February 12, are currently being distributed for evaluation. The notification, signed by board secretary Subrata Ghosh, highlighted that these answer scripts reflect years of dedication and effort by students.
The board stressed that maintaining the highest levels of security, confidentiality, and professional conduct during the evaluation process is essential. It expressed confidence in the competence and sincerity of examiners to ensure that the assessment process for Madhyamik 2026 remains fair, accurate, and transparent.
Examiners have been clearly instructed not to share, photograph, or discuss the contents of answer scripts or detailed marking guidelines with anyone who is not officially authorized. The board underlined that the credibility of the final results relies heavily on the discretion and integrity of those involved in evaluation.
Additionally, evaluators have been directed not to assess answer scripts in public places, staff rooms, or other workplace settings where there is a risk of exposure. According to a council official, this measure is intended to safeguard the scripts and ensure they are reviewed with full concentration.
The board also mandated that answer scripts be kept in secure, locked storage accessible only to the assigned examiners. Proper care must be taken to protect them from environmental risks such as dampness, excessive heat, insects, or damage from animals.
Finally, the board reminded examiners that releasing results on schedule is a shared responsibility and requires collective commitment from all involved in the evaluation process.
