Selection and Admission Procedure for PG 2025

Selection will be made strictly on the basis of merit (based on PG Entrance-Test and/or Merit in UG Course).
Merit List will be prepared for Admission separately for 80% Category from Parent University only and for 20% for Students of other Universities.
Online provisional admission will be done only through the Midnapore College Admission portal
All the admission will be provisional and subject to meet certain criteria and only be final following document verification.

Minimum Academic qualification: Provisionally admitted candidates (final semester result-awaited candidates) must fulfill the following academic criteria in terms of CGPA following publication of Final Semester result.

PG Courses (MSc/MA)	Requirements (Final CGPA, taking all six semesters)
Botany, Chemistry, Computer Science, Geography, Mathematics, Physics, Physiology, Zoology	Pass in the relevant UG (Hons.) subject
Bengali, Education, English, History, Political Science, Philosophy and Sanskrit.	Pass in the relevant UG (Hons.) subject

All the provisionally admitted applicants are required to be present and to produce all the originals of uploaded Certificates, Mark Sheets and testimonials at the time of physical verification of admission.
The final semester marksheet should be produced at the time of Verification. In case an applicant cannot produce the final semester marksheet at the time of verification, he/she will be required to produce it within fifteen days, failing which the applicant’s candidature will be liable to be cancelled.
