Applications are invited from Candidates who have passed/appearing SSC or its equivalent examination recognized by the Board of Secondary Education, Telangana, Hyderabad, to appear for "Polytechnic Common Entrance Test - POLYCET-2026" for seeking admission into Diploma Courses in Engineering and Non- Engineering/Technology offered at Polytechnics/Institutions (including Government/Private/Aided and Unaided) in Telangana State, Agricultural courses offered by Professor Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University (PJTAU), Horticultural Diploma courses offered by Sri Konda Laxman Telangana Horticultural University (SKLTGHU), Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Courses offered by PV Narasimha Rao Telangana Veterinary University (PVNRTVU) for the Academic Year-2026-27 as per the schedule given below.

Only 15% of the total intake (of that corresponding Academic Year) of B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture and B.Tech. (Agricultural Engineering) are reserved for the passed-out Diploma holders forentry into the First Year of the concerned UG courses through AGRICET, [B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture] and AGRIENGGCET [B.Tech. (Agricultural Engineering)], entrance examinations conducted by the University.
The polytechnic courses, eligibility, reservation etc., mentioned above are subject to the University's decision and may be revised from time to time. Eligibility Criteria

The candidate shall be an Indian National.
The candidate should belong to the State of Telangana. The candidate should satisfy Local/Non-Local status requirements as laid down in the Telangana Educational Institutions (Regulations of Admissions) order, 1974 as subsequently amended.
The candidates should have passed S.S.C. Examination conducted by State Board of Secondary Education, Telangana or another examination recognized asequivalent thereto by the Board of Secondary Education, Telangana state such as Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Indian Council for Secondary Education (ICSE), National Institute of Open School (NIOS), Telangana Open School Society (TOSS), X class examination conducted by various State Boards of Secondary Education in India with Mathematics as one of the subjects, and obtained at least 35% marks in the qualifying examination.
Candidates belonging to NIOS/TOSS/CBSE/ICSE/OTHER Examinations recognized as equivalent to SSC by Telangana State SHOULD HAVE PASSED ALL THE SUBJECTS, including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, with a minimum of 35% Marks in each subject.
Candidates who appeared or are appearing for the SSC or equivalent examination being held in March/April 2026, and whose results are yet to be declared, can also appear for POLYCET-2026.
There is no age restriction for appearing for POLYCET-2026. However maximum eligible age for obtaining a scholarship, the guidelines issued in Memo No. 10537/SW(Edn.2)/2011, and those issued from time to time by Social Welfare (End.) Department shall apply.
Mere appearing for POLYCET-2026 and obtaining a merit rank does not ipso facto entitle a candidate to be considered for admission automatically, unless the candidate fulfills the requirements laid down for admission.
A working employee candidate should bring NOC from the respective organizations.

Candidate shall be an Indian National.
Candidate should belong to the State of Telangana/AP as defined in G.O.(P).No. 646, Edn.(W) Dept., dated 10-07-1979 and in the subsequent amendments.
Candidate should have passed SSC Examination conducted by State Board of Secondary Education, T.S./A.P. or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the Board of Secondary Education, T.S./A.P. such as Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Indian Council for Secondary Education (ICSE), National Institute of Open School (NIOS), Telangana Open School Society (TOSS), A.P. Open School Society (APOSS), X Class Examination conducted by various State Board of Secondary Education in India with Science as one of the subjects, and obtained at least 35% marks in the qualifying examination.
Candidates belonging to NIOS/TOSS/APOSS/CBSE/ICSE/OTHER Examinations recognized as equivalent to S.S.C by Telangana State SHOULD HAVE PASSED ALL THE SUBJECTS including Mathematics, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry with a minimum of 35% Marks in each subject.
In respect of the Diploma Courses offered by PJTAU, the candidates for admission into Polytechnic Diploma Courses in the PJTAU shall be required to have completed 15 years of age as on the year of admission with an upper age limit of 22 years as on 31/12/2026.
The selected candidates for admission into Diploma courses of PJTAU shall pay the prescribed fees immediately.

The candidates shall pay the prescribed fees for each semester and the details are given hereunder.

Selected candidates for admission into University polytechnics shall pay an amount of Rs. 23,000/- per semester (Hostel and Mess charges are additional).
Selected candidates for admission into Affiliated Polytechnics shall pay an amount of Rs. 27,000/- per semester (Hostel and Mess charges are additional).
Hostel facilitywill be provided subject to availability.
Fee once paid will not be refunded except the deposits.
If the candidate cancels his/her seat he/she shall pay fees towards the seat cancellation. The details of the cancellation fees will be furnished in admission and counseling notifications of the University.

The prescribed fees for each semester and the details mentioned above are subject to the University's decision and may be revised from time to time. Hence, the applicants should visit the University website: www.pjtau.edu.in for exact details on prescribed fees at the time of admission.

Pattern and Syllabus for the Examination

The candidates who are willing to be admitted in the Diploma courses offered by PIJTAU shall attempt Biology questions.

Two separate ranks will be generated for M.P.C (120 marks) and the M.Bi.P.C streams and the M.Bi.P.C ranks will be generated by scaling down the Maths marks to 30. The Question Paper Pattern and the qualifying marks in POLYCET shall be as below:

In case of a tie in marks secured by candidates, rank may be resolved as follows:
Agricultural Polytechnics of Prof. Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University, Hyderabad the ranks will be given in preferential order of marks secured in Biology, Physics, and Chemistry. If still, the tie persists, the rank may be resolved by seniority based on the Date of Birth of the candidates. While resolving the tie based on the Date of birth as entered in the S.S.C. Certificate of the Candidate, a candidate born earlier will be deemed to have obtained better rank. In case the tie is still not resolved, the candidate who has secured a higher percentage of marks in the qualifying examination will be considered to have obtained a better rank, to resolve the tie.

The Candidate shall be an Indian National.
Candidates seeking admission should produce a certificate(s) from the Heads of Institution(s) that the candidate has studied for a minimum period of 4 years in schools located in Non-Municipal areas during their period of study from 1st class to 10th class (any four years). The relevant information must be filled in the proforma as prescribed in ANNEXURE-IX and duly signed by the Head of the institution concerned.
IfAnnexure-IX is not filled in/duly signed bythe concerned Head ofInstitution or officer alongwith the office seal, the claimofthe candidates will be rejected.
As of now, the Diploma courses offered by the University are not equal to Intermediate or any other vocational courses offered by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana.

The selected candidates for admission into Diploma courses of PVNRTVU shall pay the prescribed fees immediately. The detailed fee structure shall be placed on the University website https://pvnrtvu.ac.in along with the admission notification.

The candidate shall be an Indian National.
The Candidates seeking admission should produce a certificate(s) from the Heads of Institution (s) that the candidate has studied for a minimum period of 4 years in schools located in Non-Municipal areas during their period of study from 1st classto 10th class (any four years). The relevant information must be filled in the proforma as prescribed in ANNEXURE-IX and duly signed by the Head of the institution concerned.
If ANNEXURE-IX is not filled in/duly signed by the concerned Head of the Institution or officer along with the office seal, the claim of the candidates will be rejected.
The candidates who have higher education of 10+2 or above are not eligible.
As of now, the Diploma courses offered by the University are not equal to Intermediate or any other vocational courses offered by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana.

In respect ofthe Diploma Course offered by SKLTGHU, the candidates for admission into the Polytechnic Diploma Course in the SKLTGHU shall be required to have completed 15 years of age as of the year of admission, with an upper age limit of 22 years as on 31/12/2026.
The selected candidates for admission into the Diploma course of SKLTGHU shallpay the prescribed fees immediately. The detailed fee structure shall be placed on the University website www.tsvu.nic.in along with the admission notification.

Fill in the Application form as per the following guidelines

Fill in the Application form as per the following guidelines at polycet.sbtet.telangana.gov.in

Open the POLYCET website polycet.sbtet.telangana.gov.in. Click on registration and fill in the details.
After entering the registration details, verify the mobile number with OTP. An SMS with the Registration number and password will be received bythe registered mobile number.
Login with the Registration number and Password to enter into the POLYCET Application.
Click on Pay Now.
Select the payment gatewayand proceed for payment, and make the payment.
After the successful payment, click on Fill Application.
Enter the Personal details and click on Get Details.
Enter the Communication Details and click on Next.
Enter the Category details and click on Next.
Enter the Special Category details and click on Next.
Enter the ExamCenter Details and click on Next.
Enter the StudyDetails and click on Next.
Upload Photo & Sign and click on Save & Preview.
Click on Generate Hall ticket and Download Hall ticket for the Entrance Exam.
