CUET Paper Eligibility Application Fee
COQP03 B.Ed.: Candidates seeking admission to B.Ed must have at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates) either in the Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3 pattern) and/or Master’s Degree in Sciences / Social Sciences / Humanity, Bachelor's in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the programme Rs. 1000/-
Important Guidelines for Registration / Admission:
  • All the applicants Appeared/Not Appeared in CUET-PG-2025 / JUET-2025 are eligible to apply.
  • Admissions shall be made on the basis of the Score / Marks obtained in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-PG-2025) conducted by the NTA and Composite Score of Jammu University Entrance Test (JUET-2025) Score & Academic Merit as per preference give at 2 (B).
    For Admission, following will be the order of references:
    A First Preference CUET-PG-2025 Score:
    NOTE: To be eligible for admission applicant must have scored minimum 20 Marks in a particular paper of CUET-PG-2025)
    B Second Preference Composite Merit of JUET-2025 & Acd. Merit: Comprising 75% of Academic Merit of the qualifying examination and 25% of JUET-2025 Score
    C Third Preference Academic Merit of the qualifying examination
    NOTE: Preference 2nd and 3rd will only be operational in case seats remain vacant after exhausting the entire merit list of CUET-PG-2025.
  • The applicants have to fill online admission form, within a stipulated time, and must have passed the qualifying Examination (Honours or General) or a professional degree of not less than 3 years duration or any other examination recognised as equivalent thereof, from a recognised university/institution.
  • Filling of Online Admission Form is mandatory and pre-requisite for Admission. The Candidates are required to fill the same carefully as per the Statutes/Guidelines. The University will not be responsible for any mistake / lapse on the part of the Candidate while filling up of the Online Admission Form.
  • All the admissions shall be PROVISIONAL till such time the same are verified/ regularized by the University. No document / certificate shall be accepted by the College after the last date. Admission shall be made through Offline Counseling on the basis of the MERIT LIST Notified by the University.
  • Distribution of Seats:
    • 75% of the sanctioned seats available in each Non-Government College of Education shall be filled from amongst eligible candidates who are:
      • Graduates of the University of Jammu;
      • OR
      • belong to the areas falling within the territorial jurisdiction of the University of Jammu but have passed the qualifying examination from a University other than the University of Jammu;
      • OR
      • Such employees of the Central / State Govt. / Public Sector Undertakings or any other Organization recognized by the Syndicate as are posted within the territorial jurisdiction of the University of Jammu or wards (sons, daughters or spouses) of such employees.
      • OR
      • Wards of Kashmiri migrants residing in other parts of the country are also eligible for B.Ed. admission to Non-Govt. colleges affiliated to University of Jammu under Local category in order of merit provided such a candidate produces documentary evidence of belonging to a family registered as Kashmiri Migrant.
    • Remaining 25% seats in each college of education shall be filled from amongst the eligible candidates who neither belong to the territorial jurisdiction of the University of Jammu nor have passed the qualifying examination from the University of Jammu.
  • It is mandatory for all candidates to apply and fill respective preference online (CUET & Non-CUET) candidates.
  • No ‘UNDER PROCESS CERTIFICATE’ will be entertained under any circumstances for Admission.
  • All the applicants applying for admission are required to submit affidavit/s as required.
  • The Admission of a Candidate supplying incorrect/factually wrong information in the Online Admission Form will not be considered for admission and is liable to be cancelled at any stage.
  • The Applicants after successful completion of registration of the online admission form are advised to keep a print out of his/her Application, copy of fee receipt for any future reference.
  • No separate intimation for MEIR LIST / Physical Verification/ Admission shall be sent individually to the candidates. Candidates are advised to be in continuous touch with the University PG Admission Portal for latest updates.
  • It will be mandatory for the candidates to present in person in the B.Ed College for Physical Verification/Admission with original documents. Failure to do so will forfeit the candidate's right to seek admission.
  • The provisional admission will only be confirmed after the successful remittance of the Admission Fee. Merely applying and appearing for Physical Verification does not confirm admission.
  • The admissions will be done on the basis of following Criteria.
    a. Availability of Seats in a particular College
    b. College Specific Merit
    c. Order of Preference of College
    d. Category
    e. Any other allocation rules, policies or criteria mentioned in the notified guidelines/Admission Brochure.

Duration of the Course
The course for the degree of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) is a whole time/full time Regular course extending over a period of two academic years having four semesters. Students pursing the said course shall be permitted to complete the programme within a maximum period of three years from the date of admission to the programme.
Eligibility for Admission
  • Candidates with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates) either in the Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3 pattern) and/or Master’s Degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/Humanity, Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the programme:
    For Admission, following will be the order of preferences:

  • A person, as long as he/ she is on the rolls of B.Ed course, shall not be eligible to attend any other course of instruction or appear in any other examination of the University.
    Provided that a candidate who has been placed under reappear category in one course/paper of an examination, other than the qualifying examination, or was scheduled to appear in the examination (other than the qualifying examination) either as a regular or private candidate before the commencement of class work of B.Ed. course but could not do so on account of delay in the conduct of said examination, for reasons beyond his/her control, shall be eligible to appear in the examination, even though he/she has been duly admitted to the B.Ed. course.
  • Any person in employment or self-employment or engaged in a business or profession is not eligible for admission to the B.Ed. course in the Non-Government colleges. Such a person may, however, be considered for admission, provided:
    • he/she produces a certificate from his/her employer that the employer has no objection to his/her employee pursuing whole time B.Ed. course and that the employee is on authorized leave for full duration of the course duly sanctioned by the competent authority for the purpose;
    • in the case of self-employed person or a person engaged in business or a profession, the person concerned gives an undertaking on a stamped paper of proper value duly attested by the Notary that he/she will devote his/her whole time for studies as a student during the period he/she remains on roll of the College for the course and shall not engage in any business or profession or vocation during this period or engage in any other activity which is likely to interfere with his/her studies in the College.
Mediun of Instruction and Examination
English shall be the medium of instruction and examination in all papers except in Modern Indian Languages, where the medium of instruction and examination shall be the language concerned.
Submission of On-Line Application Form
  • Before submitting the on-line Application Form, candidates are advised to read the statutes carefully to ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility conditions laid down for admission to B.Ed. course. In case, it is detected at any subsequent stage that a candidate does not fulfill the eligibility criteria and/or has furnished incorrect information, concealed/suppressed material facts, his/her candidature will be cancelled, even if already admitted. The University will, in no way, be responsible for the consequences emanating there from.
  • A candidate if wrongly admitted by the admission committee/college, his/her admission shall be liable to be cancelled at any stage of his/her study or even if result has been declared or degree has been awarded, the candidate will have no right to claim that his/her admission in the course be continued or degree awarded to him/her be not cancelled on any ground whatsoever.
  • All candidates (both Local as well as Non-Local) desirous of seeking admission to the B.Ed. course in the Non-Government Colleges of Education, shall submit on-line Application Form complete in all respects on one of the following websites:

  • A candidate shall not be allowed to make any change in his/her on-line Application Form, by way of addition, deletion or alteration, once it has been finally submitted on the website.
  • INCOMPLETE ON-LINE APPLICATION FORM/S IS/ARE LIABLE TO BE OUTRIGHTLY REJECTED AND THE UNIVERSITY SHALL NOT ENTER INTO ANY CORRESPONDENCE IN THIS REGARD.
