National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) is a compulsory test for students seeking admission to National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar and University of Mumbai - Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS), Mumbai. Both NISER and UM-DAE CEBS were set up by Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India in 2007. A NEST Test Level refers to the difficulty or standard of the questions in the National Entrance Screening Test (NEST), a national-level exam for admission to integrated M.Sc. programs at institutes like NISER and UM-DAE CEBS. The exam is considered moderate to difficult, focusing on strong conceptual understanding, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology.
