RULES FOR BREAKING TIES IN MERIT SCORE FOR ADMISSION FOR
3 YEAR DEGREE / 4 YEAR HONOURS COURSES
ACADEMIC SESSION: 2025-2026

  • Step-I: Original Merit Score + Marks in Major Subject (if Major subject is not available
    then the marks of the subject considered during Formulation of Merit Score, should be taken
    into consideration). If Tie takes place in this step, then the following steps will be followed-
  • Step-II: Total Merit Score as calculated in Step-I + 1st subject among the 4 best subjects
    considered during Formulation of Merit Score. If Tie takes place in this step, then the following
    steps will be followed-
  • Step-III: Total Merit Score as calculated in Step-II + 2nd subject among the 4 best subjects
    considered during Formulation of Merit Score. If Tie takes place in this step, then the following
    steps will be followed-
  • Step-IV: Total Merit Score as calculated in Step-III +3rd subject among the 4 best subjects
    considered during Formulation of Merit Score. If Tie takes place in this step, then the following
    steps will be followed-
  • Step-V: Total Merit Score as calculated in Step-IV+ 4th subject among the 4 best subjects
    considered during Formulation of Merit Score.
