GENERAL INFORMATION

1. Online submission of applications for admission will be accepted from August 15 to August 25, 2025
2. Total no. of seats is 15
3. Distribution of Seats
   1. 80% (i.e. 12) of the total number of seats is exclusively for students of University of Calcutta and University of Calcutta-affiliated autonomous colleges. The list of candidates who will be eligible for admission will be strictly in order of MERIT.
   2. 20% (i.e. 3) of the total number of seats is for students who have completed their graduation from any other University (non-CU Students). These candidates will have to appear for an Admission Test (50 marks MCQ-Multiple Choice Question. Candidates will be selected on the basis of the marks they obtained in the B.A./B.Sc. Honours Examination and marks obtained in the Admission Test. Equal weightage will be given to the University exam result and Admission test marks. Details regarding time and mode of the Admission Test will be displayed on the College website.
      Reservation for Christian students and SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates is applicable on both (3a) and (3b).
4. Lists of candidates eligible for the Admission Test will be published as per schedule depicted in – Important Dates for Admission to the M.A./M. Sc. Class.
5. If the sanctioned number of suitable Christian, SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates are not available in the 80% reserved category (3a) the same may be filled by Christian, SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates in the 20% reserved category (3b) merit list and vice versa
6. Any error or ambiguity in filled up forms can be corrected or resolved with the approval of the appropriate authority (Please write, if required, with M.A./M.Sc. (Psychology) in the subject row to loretocollegeadmissions@gmail.com).
7. If any candidate cancels her admission within a month from the date of admission, a refund of tuition fees may be allowed, but the entire process will be at the discretion of the college authorities.
8. All rules are subject to change by order of the appropriate authority.
9. A clear scan of the MIGRATION CERTIFICATE (for students who are not from Calcutta University), must be submitted online along with the Application Form for admission.
10. Students passing from Universities/University approved Colleges outside the State of West Bengal, either in Regular mode or Distance mode, will have to submit Certificates of Equivalence for admission and other purpose and if degrees are not equivalent, their admission will be cancelled (Notification No: Eq/182. Dated 23.06.15, University of Calcutta).
11. Application forms should be submitted ONLINE ONLY
12. Incomplete forms and Application forms without relevant documents will be rejected.
13. Scanned mark sheets and documents that are illegible or of poor-quality will be rejected.
14. Loreto College will not be held responsible for any error made by the candidate while filling up the form.
15. If a form number is not generated it is an indication that something went wrong in the procedure by which the form was filled/submitted. Please resubmit.
