Post Graduate Program for Executives (PGPEx) 2026-27
Admissions Process

The admission process for PGPEx (2026-27) will be conducted in two rounds. The schedule for each Round (including dates for Application, shortlisting, Executive Assessment Centre comprising Personal Interview and GD, and declaration of results) is declared on the Institute website for each Round separately. Eligible candidates can apply in any one of the rounds. Depending on the outcome of the first round, the remaining seats will be filled in during the second round.

Eligibility
The interested candidates should fulfil all the eligibility criteria as given below:
Eligibility Criteria: (i) Education: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized institution with minimum aggregate marks of 50% or equivalent,
And
(ii) Experience: Minimum 5 years of full-time work experience (as on 31st March 2026) after bachelor’s degree. Relaxation of 1 year is available for candidates with at least 1-year field experience outside India,
And
(iii) Qualifying Examination/Eligibility:
     CAT: Minimum 50 percentile (overall) or
     GMAT/GMAT FOCUS: Minimum 500 score (overall)
IIM Shillong will accept valid qualifying examination scorecards only up to the last date of the application round.
Application Procedure
The candidates satisfying the minimum eligibility criteria should submit their application online. The application fee is Rs. 3,000, which is non-refundable and non-adjustable. Each applicant is required to indicate three preferred venues for the Executive Assessment Centre, in order of priority. The Institute will notify applicants of the final venue and schedule. Overseas applicants will have the option to attend the process in online mode.
Selection Procedure
The selection procedure will consist of two Phases:
Phase 1: PGPEx 2026 Executive Assessment Centre (EAC)
The invited candidates will have to attend the EAC which will have two parts:
A. Group Discussion (GD)
B. Personal Interview
The details will be provided to the candidate on the day of the process at the designated EAC.

Phase 2: Declaration of selected and waitlisted candidates
Based on the performance of candidates in the Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI), a category-wise merit list will be prepared using the Overall Score (OS) as outlined in Table-1. Provisional admission offers will then be given to the selected candidates in accordance with the reservation norms prescribed by the Government of India, including the declaration of waitlisted candidates.

Candidates who are put in waitlist at the end of the first round will be considered for admissions, subject to availability of seats, at the end of second round.
