A Common Entrance Test, designated as Education Common Entrance Test 2026 (AP EdCET 2026) will be conducted online by the CONVENER, APEdCET-2026, Dravidian University, Srinivasavanam, Kuppam – 517 426, Chittoor District, A.P. on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) for admission into B.Ed. Programme and B.Ed. Special Education in the Universities/Government/Aided/Private Colleges of Education in Andhra Pradesh for the Academic Year 2026-27.

Note:
  • Submission of Application is permitted Through Online Mode only.
  • Payment of fee and submission of application should be completed within the stipulated period only. If any candidate completes payment during the no late fee slot and trying to submit the application in the late fee slot, his application will be considered under late fee slot only and candidate has to pay the additional scheduled late fee to submit the application.
  • Registration Fee is Non-Refundable.
  • ** Fee to be paid for each objection raised on a question is Rs. 300/- and the same is refundable for valid objection only. The decision of the committee on validity of the objection is final and no further correspondence is entertained.
Eligibility tp appear for AP EdCET 2026
Candidates satisfying the following requirements shall be eligible to appear for AP EdCET 2026.
  • The Candidates should be Indian Nationals.
  • The Candidates should satisfy Local/Non-Local status requirements as per the order of Govt. of Andhra Pradesh for the year 2026-27.
  • Educational Qualifications:
    Methodology Eligibility
    Mathematics Candidates with B.A./B.Sc. with Mathematics as one of the group subjects and BCA Candidates with Mathematics at Intermediate level as a group subject or B.E./B.Tech. with Mathematics & Physics at Intermediate level.
    Physical Sciences Candidates with B.Sc., who have studied Physics and Chemistry or allied material sciences (See Annexure-I) under Part-II group subjects or BCA candidates with Physical Sciences (Physics and Chemistry) at Intermediate level as group subjects or B.E./B.Tech. with Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry at Intermediate level.
    Biological Sciences Candidates with B.Sc./ B.Sc. (Home Science) who have studied Botany and Zoology or allied subjects (See Annexure-II) under part-II group subjects or BCA students with Biological Sciences at Intermediate level as group subjects.
    Social Studies All Candidates with B.A. or Candidates with B.Com./B.B.M./BCA with Social Sciences at Intermediate level as group subject.
    English Candidates with B.A. Special English or M.A. English.
  • Candidate should have secured at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor’s Degree i.e., B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com. / B.Sc. (Home Science/BCA/BBM and/or in the Master’s Degree or any other qualification equivalent thereto. However, candidates belonging to all other reserved categories {SC, ST, BC (A/B/C/D/E) and physically challenged} should have secured 40% marks in the qualifying examination.
    Note: The Candidates with B.E./B.Tech. should have secured at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA, with Mathematics, Physics are eligible for admission into the Mathematics Methodology.
  • The candidates should have completed the age of 19 years on the 1st of July in the year in which notification is issued. There shall be no maximum age limit.
Scheme of Examination for AP EdCET 2026
The common entrance test will be of objective type (multiple choices) examination. Candidate has to answer 150 questions in two hours’ time, i.e., 120 minutes.
Part-A General English-25 questions for 25 marks
Part-B 1) General Knowledge-15 questions for 15 marks
2) Teaching Aptitude-10 questions for 10 marks
Part-C Methodology: Candidate has to choose one of the following subjects.
It consists of 100 questions for 100 marks.
1) Mathematics-100 questions for 100 marks

2) Physical Sciences-100 questions for100 marks
(i) Physics-50 questions for 50 marks
(ii) Chemistry-50 questions for 50 marks

3) Biological Sciences-100 questions for 100 marks
(i) Botany-50 questions for 50 marks
(ii) Zoology-50 questions for 50 marks

4) Social Studies-100 questions for 100 marks
(i) Geography-35 questions for 35 marks
(ii) History-30 questions for 30 marks
(iii) Civics-15 questions for15 marks
(iv) Economics-20 questions for 20 marks

5) English-100 questions for 100 marks
Note: Part–A and Part-B are common for all the candidates irrespective of Methodology chosen in Part-C.
