Minimum Eligibility for BET (BGU Entrance Test)

• Eligibility for BET is carefully designed as we position ourselves among the best B school in India.
• The candidate should have a good academic record with a minimum of 50% marks (or equivalent CGPA) in his/her Graduation (10+2+3 system) from a recognized university to join our MBA program. Candidates appearing for their final year graduation examination are also eligible to apply; however, they must submit their mark sheet immediately upon receipt of the same.

Steps to Apply for BET

• Student needs to visit: https://forms.bgu.ac.in to apply for an MBA at BSoM
• Student will get a call from BGU admission office once the MBA application gets successfully submitted.
• Student will be shared with a link to appear for BET along with a user id and password.
• Student will log in with his/her user id and password to complete the test.
• Student qualifying BET will be informed about his / her result.

• Minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in Graduation (45% marks or equivalent CGPA for candidates from reserved categories) from any recognised University/institution.
• Applicants must have a valid score in CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT/MAT/BET—BGU Entrance Test for those not having the other score(s). Foreign/NRI candidates will be considered for admission on the basis of GMAT/BET—BGU Entrance Test.
• Selection will be on the basis of a composite score derived from academic performances in 10th, 12th, and graduation; CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT/MAT/BET—BGU Entrance Test score; Personal Interview & Written Ability Test (WAT). Weightages for work experience, academic background, among others are also considered.

Academic Fees for MBA *Additional Information
- Medical Insurance: ₹3,000 per annum
- General Security Deposit: ₹10,000 (refundable upon successful completion of the program, subject to clearance)
- One-Time Registration Fee: ₹15,000 (non-refundable)
- International Students have to pay additional 20% fee (both tuition and hostel accommodation)

Double Occupancy Note:
- Hostel-registration fee of INR 10,000 (non-refundable) at the time of registration
- Student should preserve this schedule for timely payment of fees to avoid penalty for late fee deposition.

Minimum Eligibility
Candidate should have a good academic record with a minimum 50% marks (or equivalent CGPA) in his/her Graduation (10+2+3 system) from a recognized university. Candidates appearing for their final year graduation examination are also eligible to apply, however, they must submit their mark sheet immediately on the receipt of the same.

Four Steps of Selection Process for MBA:
Applicant found eligible (as per minimum eligibility criteria) will be evaluated in the following four parameters for the final selection process into the MBA program of Birla School of Management of BGU.

• The applicant should have a good academic record throughout his/her career.
• The applicant should have appeared CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT/BET (Birla Global University Entrance Test)
• The applicant should have good communication and interpersonal skills.
• The applicant should have appeared GDPI / Personal Interview conducted by the faculty of BGU.

Each criterion is having suitable weightage and the applicant is required to score minimum 60% to qualify through the selection process.

NOTE:
- Suitable weightage will be given to applicants having work experience.
- Applying for the admission does not ensure that candidate will be called for PI process or get admission. The discretion of the admission committee of the university will be final in all such matters.

  - Sending Demand draft drawn in favour of 'Birla Global University' payable at Bhubaneswar.
• Step 2:
  - On submission of the application, it will be processed to verify the eligibility of the applicant.
  - If the applicant found eligible for the selection process then he/she will be intimated about the date and time of the selection process.
  
  Tentative GD/PI Venues: Ahemdabad, Bangaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Cochin, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Indore, Ranchi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Patna, Thiruvanthapuram, Pune, and Greater Noida. (Due to Covid19 the PIs may be conducted through virtual mode eg: Skype/Google Meet.
• Step 3:
  Applicant interested to appear for the selection process must carry photocopy of his/her mark sheet of all last qualifying examinations along with GDPI call letter.
• Step 4:
  Applicants appearing for the selection process will have to go through the following steps
  - Essay on a given topic for about 300 words – to evaluate writing ability.
  - Group Discussion – to evaluate the team spirit, communication, body language etc.
  - Personal Interview – to evaluate career objectives, extra-curricular interest, activities, achievement.
• Step 5:
  The candidate will be selected based on the following parameters
  - Career Performance.
  - Performance in the selection process.
  - Performance in CAT/XAT/CMAT/MAT/BGU Entrance Examination (BET).
• Step 6:
  • University will issue Admission offer letters to the selected candidates.
  • Candidates within 7 days of receiving the offer letter require to send a confirmation to the university.
  • Fee Submission: Candidates selected for admission into MBA Program of BGU Bhubaneswar required to submit the requisite fee within 15 days from the date of receiving the offer letter.
  
  Financing of Programs: Students interested to avail loans from any financial institutions like both PSU and privatized banks/NBFCs can produce the required documents from BGU on a priority basis subject to fulfillment of criteria of the financial institutions.
