Notice for B.Tech Counselling and Admission

It is to inform all the interested candidates who have applied through the SAMARTH portal for admission into the B.Tech programme based on CEE (Assam)-2025 Rank, the following schedule and rules are to be followed for a few vacant seats in the branches mentioned below:

• B.Tech in Biotechnology
• B.Tech in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence

Date of Counselling and Admission: 12^th August, 2025, Tuesday, 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.

Venue: GUIST Seminar Hall (3^rd Floor), GUIST

Amount of fee to be paid at the time of admission: Rs. 28,980/- + Counselling fee: Rs. 1000/- (Non-refundable)

• Eligible applicants must report to the admission desk at the specified time and venue, with a printed copy of the application form submitted on the SAMARTH portal along with all ORIGINAL documents.
• All allotments are Provisional and subject to fulfillment of all conditions as per Gauhati University (GU) rules. The decision of the Admission Committee shall be final.
• The payment link on the SAMARTH portal will be activated only for candidates found eligible after document verification.
• Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) of Assam is mandatory for all candidates at the time of counselling.
• For OBC/MOBC candidates, the Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) Certificate is compulsory.
• Candidates who have already been allotted a seat in any branch and have taken admission but later cancelled their admission through the SAMARTH portal will not be eligible for the Counselling. Such candidates will not be entertained under any circumstances.
