PG Admission Final Phase Allocation & Fee Payment Instructions 2026
The students should take note of the following points before making payment of Admission Fees:
The Allocation List (Last Phase) has been prepared based on system generated data without verification of
documents. Candidates are therefore directed to verify their eligibility in accordance with the criteria as
prescribed in the Information Brochure of the PG Admission 2025 under Science Faculty, available in the
University Website.
If a candidate is found, before or after admission, not having the minimum eligibility of admission, then the
university will have the right to cancel his/her admission without taking responsibility of refund of his/her
admission fees. The University also reserves all rights to drop or to include any name, if any suppression of facts
on the part of the students or any mistake on the part of the University or any error in the system-generated data
is detected at any stage before or after the admission.
In case a candidate does not fulfil the eligibility and merit criteria, he/she is requested not to proceed with the
subsequent steps since it is likely that the admission will not be confirmed.
DOCUMENT VERIFICATION for the Provisionally Selected candidates of the Allocation List will be carried out by
the concerned Department/Centre of Studies on 27.01.2026 and 28.01.2026.
As this is the Final Phase of admission, there shall be no scope for upgradation after this round. Candidates found
eligible for admission after verification of documents will have only two options, “Accept and Freeze” or “Decline”
to exercise in the admission portal. Candidates provisionally selected for “Burdwan University Campus” must pay
the requisite admission fee through the link provided in the “Access for Student Dashboard”. After successful
payment, candidate must keep a printed copy of the Successful Payment Receipt, which needs to be produced
during document verification.
Candidates who are provisionally selected in any Centre of Study (Affiliated College) other than “Burdwan
University Campus” must confirm their admission status by clicking on the right button of the two options
“Accept and Freeze” or “Decline” through the link provided in the “Access for Student Dashboard” and keep a
“Zero” Amount Payment Receipt with them. After finalizing the seat (“Accept and Freeze”), the admission fee
will have to be paid at the respective centre of study (Affiliated College).
Provisionally Selected candidates of the Allocation List can get access to the dashboard of the admission portal of
The University of Burdwan by putting their Application Sequence Number and password through the following
link from 30.01.2026 and 31.01.2026:

No action taken in the light of the above guideline will result in cancellation of offer of admission and removal
of the candidate from the admission process.
In case of any issue/problem regarding payment, candidates should communicate via e-mail immediately and
definitely before the expiry of the stipulated period (e-mail: support_sc.pgadmission2024@buruniv.ac.in,
Phone- 9475629313). No communication in this regard will be entertained after the expiry of payment period.
University will not take the responsibility of any payment failure caused due to network or technical problems.
Provisionally selected candidates should ensure collection of e-receipt of successful payment (for Burdwan
University campus) or “Zero amount payment” (for any affiliated college), generated in the online
system with “Successful” payment status. Mere receipt of SMS from own bank is not sufficient to ensure
successful payment. The University will not take the responsibility of any payment failure caused due to network
problems. So, candidates are advised to check and ensure their “Successful” Payment status.
After the expiry of payment period, the list of the candidates having “Successful” Payment/ Admission Status
will be published on the university website.
All the selected candidates who have successfully paid the admission fees (For Burdwan University Campus) with
'Accept & Freeze' and /or “Zero amount payment receipt” with 'Accept & Freeze', will
have to produce and submit self-attested photocopies of the Application Form along with all testimonials
including the relevant certificates and final honours mark sheet, hard copy of the Anti-Ragging undertaking on
the date of document verification, failing which their admission to Post Graduate courses will be cancelled. All
eligibility criteria will be checked during document verification. If, at the time of document verification, the marks
obtained by the candidate doesn’t match with the marks shown in the merit list (Based on the information
provided by the candidate in the Application Form) the admission of the candidate is liable to be cancelled. In
case a candidate is unable to attend Verification of the Document, he/she should send his/her authorised
representative for the same. If any candidate or his/her authorized representative fails to turn up on the date of
Document Verification, the admission to PG Course, 2025 will be cancelled.
In accordance with the admission rules framed by appropriate authority, the vacant seats in DA-UR and SP
category are transferred to the UR Category if there is no candidate in the UR-DA, SP Category. Under similar
circumstances, seats of DA-SC, DA-ST, DA-OBCA, DA-OBCB are transferred to SC, ST, OBCA and OBCB Category
respectively.
As per the reservation rules vide Govt. Order No.: 07-Edn (U)/1U-89/13.- dated. 2nd January, 2014 “for
admission to different courses, an SC or ST candidate getting admission should have obtained in the
previous examination; qualifying marks not lower by more than 25% of the marks obtained by the last
candidate of the general category. In case of OBC-A and OBC-B the candidate getting admission should have obtained in the previous examination; qualifying marks not lower by more than 10% from the
marks obtained by the last candidate of the general category.”
. Guidelines of Inter-Transferability/Conversion of Reserved Seats:
17.1 In case seats reserved for SC Category remains vacant for want of eligible candidates, seats will be filled up
by the eligible candidate from the list of ST Category and vice-versa.
17.2 In case seats reserved for OBC-A Category remains vacant for want of eligible candidates, seats will be filled
up by the eligible candidate from the list of OBC-B Category and vice-versa.
In compliance with the UGC, D.O. No 1-152029 (ARC) pt III, dated 24th May, 2023 and in pursuance to the
Judgement of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, dated 08.05.2009 in Civil Appeal No 887/2009, attention of all
the applicants and parents are drawn to the “Regulations on Curbing the Menace of ragging in Higher Educational
Institutions, 2009” notified by the UGC. The Regulations are available on the UGC website (www.ugc.ac.in)
Ragging is completely banned in The University of Burdwan and its other centres of learning, and anyone found
guilty of ragging and/or resorting to ragging in any form is liable to be appropriately punished as per law.
