Standalone Admission Notice for UG Courses 2025

All concerned are hereby informed that, following the notification of University of Burdwan on 09.10.2025, the process of ONLINE APPLICATION through Hooghly Mohsin College Admission Portal for provisional admission (only in existing vacancy) to different courses in the Undergraduate level for the academic session 2025-26 in standalone mode of this college will commence on and from 11/10/2025 and will continue up to 14/10/2025 till 11.59 P.M.

Candidates can avail the APPLICATION-FORM from the college website: https://hooghlymohsincollege.ac.in. Candidates need not pay any fee for submission of application form. They can apply for maximum 2 courses which are either (one 4-year subject or one 3-year subject) OR (two 4-year subjects) OR (two 3-year subjects).

All interested and willing applicants seeking admission to UG courses are instructed to read:

(ii) Eligibility criteria
(iii) Fee structure etc. available in the admission portal carefully.

Tentative date of publication of Merit list is 15/10/2025.

Tentative date of commencement of Online Admission process is 16/10/2025.

Physical presence of applicant or representative in any form in the college premises is strictly prohibited. The college authority will not entertain any offline request/enquiry from aspiring applicant.

The applicants are advised to go through the college website / college admission portal regularly for subsequent admission notice(s) related to online counseling.

The applicants are strictly advised not to change their Phone Number and e-mail ID throughout the admission procedure as all correspondence will be done only to the Phone Number and mail ID given in the application form.

Kindly note:

1. Candidates with confirmed admission in Hooghly Mohsin College are strictly prohibited from applying any further. If it is found at any stage that the candidate has already been admitted, his/her admission will be immediately cancelled.
2. Candidates with confirmed admission in any college other than Hooghly Mohsin College must get their admission cancelled from that college to be eligible for applying in Hooghly Mohsin College.
3. Candidates should enter all the relevant information in the application form very carefully. A wrong input in the application form or a false upload of relevant document will lead to cancellation of candidature.
4. Merit list will only be published for existing vacancy in each category of every subject. No merit list will be published for non-existing vacancy.

Documents required:

1. Identity proof document - Aadhar card
2. Date of Birth proof - Madhyamik or Equivalent examination admit card/registration certificate
3. Madhyamik/Equivalent examination marksheet
4. Higher Secondary/Equivalent examination marksheet
5. Caste certificate from a competent authority (if applicable) - For district: SDO; For Kolkata: District Welfare officer, Kolkata/ Ex-Officio Joint Director, BCW. Caste certificates from other states will not be accepted.
6. PwD certificate from a competent authority (if applicable)
7. EWS certificate from a competent authority (if applicable) - For district: DM of concerned district; For Kolkata: Divisional Commissioner, Presidency Division (pertaining to the current financial year only and on/after 01.04.2025).
