Online application is invited from the eligible male and female candidates for the admission of 2 years regular M.Ed. and B.Ed. courses for the Session 2025-27 in Satyapriya Roy College of Education following the dates mentioned below as per the Govt. order.

Eligibility Criteria for B. Ed.:
50% marks in Graduation/Post Graduation, 5% relaxation for S.C and for S.T.

Eligibility Criteria for M. Ed.:
Candidates seeking admission to the M.Ed course should possess at least 50% marks or equivalent grade in the following courses: B.Ed. / B.El.Ed. / D.El.Ed. (with an undergraduate degree with 50% marks in each). Relaxation of 5% in the qualifying marks will be allowed in graduation or post graduation or B.Ed. in case of SC, ST, PWD (Minimum disability 40%) candidates.

Date of Online Form fill up (For both B.Ed. and M.Ed.): 02/09/2025 to 11/09/2025.

For B.Ed.:

  • Publication of merit list (Selection and waiting list): 13/09/2025
  • Admission for selection list (Online): 13/09/2025 to 16/09/2025 (Till 05:00 P.M.)
  • Admission for waiting list (if required): 17/09/2025 to 19/09/2025 (Till 05:00 P.M.)

Method subjects available:
Bengali, English, Education, Sanskrit, Geography, History, Political Science, Life Science, Physical Science, and Mathematics.

No Registration Fee will be charged for filling up the online form.

Course fees:
For Fresher: Rs. 35,100/- per year
Deputed: Rs. 38,700/- per year

For M.Ed.:
  • Entrance Test & verification (Offline) in the college premises: 15/09/2025 (11.30 A.M)
  • Publication of merit list (Selection and waiting list): 15/09/2025
  • Admission for selection list (Online): 15/09/2025 to 17/09/2025 (Till 05:00 P.M.)
  • Admission for waiting list (if required): 19/09/2025 to 21/09/2025 (Till 05:00 P.M.)

Method subjects available for Internship:
1. Language - Bengali, English, Sanskrit
2. Social Science - Education, Geography, History, Political Science
3. Science - Life Science, Physical Science
4. Mathematics

Course fees:
For Fresher: Rs. 35,000/- per year
Deputed: Rs. 38,600/- per year

Selection Procedure
For B.Ed.:
  • For Deputed candidates, short-listing will be done based on approved Teaching Experience and total score obtained from academic score.
  • For Fresher candidates of all categories (Gen, SC, OBC-A & B, ST, PWD), short list will be made based on the following criteria:
    • 10% of the percentage of obtained marks in Madhyamik/equivalent examination.
    • 20% of the percentage of obtained marks in Higher Secondary/equivalent examination.
    • 20% of percentage of obtained in B.A./B.Sc. General Degree examination.
    • 30% of marks obtained in B.A/B.Sc.(Hons) examination (% of marks obtained in this case must be computed considering the marks of Hons. Subject only).
    • 35% of marks obtained in M.A/M.Sc. examinations.
    • 3 score points for candidate possessing valid M.Phil degree.
    • 5 score points for candidate possessing valid Ph.D. degree (Candidate having both M.Phil and Ph.D degrees can demand for only either of these two degrees).
    • Aggregate of above, calculated for a candidate would constitute the Total Score Point.
For M.Ed.:
  • For Deputed candidates, short-list will be made based on approved Teaching Experience and total score obtained in the admission test.
  • For Fresher candidates of all categories (Gen, SC, OBC-A & B, ST, PWD), shortlist will be made based on counting 50% score from their academic records and 50% of the score obtained in the Admission Test to be held on 15/09/2025 at 11:30 A.M.
  • 10% of the percentage of obtained marks in Madhyamik/equivalent examination.
  • 20% of the percentage of obtained marks in Higher Secondary/equivalent examinations.
  • 20% of percentage of obtained in B.A./B.Sc. General Degree examination.
  • 30% of marks obtained in B.A./B.Sc. (Hons) examination (% of marks obtained in this case must be computed considering the marks of Hons. Subject only).
  • 35% of marks obtained in M.A/M.Sc. examinations.
  • 3 score points for candidate possessing valid M.Phil. degree.
  • 5 score points for candidate possessing valid Ph.D. degree (Candidate having both M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees can claim score for only one choice).
  • 35% of marks obtained in B.Ed. examination (4th semester students not receiving final mark sheet will count total marks up to third semester examinations)
  • Aggregate of all the above, calculated for a candidate would constitute the Total Score Point.
