The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) has officially announced the Madhyamik (Class 10) Examination 2025 results. The results were declared today at 9:00 AM in a press briefing, and individual scorecards are now available on the official websites — wbresults.nic.in and wbbse.wb.gov.in — from 9:45 AM onwards. Schools have been instructed to collect mark sheets and certificates from their designated distribution centres starting at 10:00 AM.
Adrita Sarkar Tops State with 99.43%
This year’s top position has been secured by Adrita Sarkar, who scored an outstanding 99.43%. In recognition of this achievement, she will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh, a laptop, a smartphone, and a citation from the Education Department. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is expected to personally honour Adrita during a special felicitation ceremony.
The next nine top-performing students will also be rewarded with ₹50,000 each, in addition to electronic devices and certificates of excellence. WBBSE has confirmed that district-level ceremonies will be held to celebrate the achievements of these meritorious students.
Further, these students will be given priority access to various government scholarship programs to aid their future academic endeavors. The prize structure for this year has been upgraded to provide enhanced support and recognition for academic excellence.
This year, districts such as Cooch Behar, Purulia, Dakshin Dinajpur, Birbhum, South and North 24 Parganas, Hooghly, Purba Bardhaman, Malda, and Paschim Medinipur have shown strong performances, contributing several students to the merit list.
Kalimpong led the state with the highest pass percentage at 96.26%, followed by Purba Medinipur (95.49%) and Kolkata (91.62%). WBBSE will also release a detailed statistical report covering total registrations, attendance, pass/fail rates, and district-wise toppers.
