JGEEBILS is a common entrance examination in biology and interdisciplinary life sciences, coordinated by the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research. Each participating institution operates anindependent admissions process using the JGEEBILS result together with other inputs.

Students must apply separately to each participating institution. Please refer to the website of each institution for details of its admissions process and degree requirements.

Programmes offered at each institution:
PhD at all the listed institutions, except NIBMG.
Integrated MSc-PhD at TIFR (all Centres), IISER (all locations), Bose Institute and NIBMG. MSc at NBRC.

Male Candidates: Rs. 1,000/-
Female Candidates: Rs. 500/-
Others: Rs. 500/-
Application fee can only be paid ONLINE through Internet Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card/UPI or other modes as available on our payment gateway.

Application Procedure

Apply online at https://www.tifr.res.in/academics/

When candidates register for any test, the application screen will give the option for that test's score to be considered for admission to additional eligible programs. Please see the "Eligibility Table" on the website.
Candidates may also appear for GS-2026 tests in multiple subjects provided the timings do not clash. Please submit separate applications and pay the application fee for each test. If candidates appear for two subject tests that are eligible for a particular program, their best score will be considered.
Alternatively, scores from other exams e.g. GATE/JEST/OR JRF qualifications from CSIR/DBT/ICMR/UGC may also be considered by individual programs (see the "Eligibility Table"). If such candidates also appear for the GS-2026 test, their best score will be considered.
