Recruitment of one Junior Research Fellow (JRF-1) under a CSIR-ASPIRE Project

Applications are invited from interested and motivated candidates for the post of one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a time bound research project for a temporary period, purely on contractual basis as per the following details.

Project Title	“Exploring the neuroprotective role of folic acid against arsenic-induced cerebellar degeneration with emphasis on microglial dynamics and inflammasome activation” (Sanction no. – File Number: CRG/2020/003159 dated 10.03.2021)
Department	Department of Physiology, University of Calcutta
Project Tenure	Three (03) Years
Job Description	i. Coordinate and perform/assist in laboratory experiments involved in the project ii. Participate and contribute to project review meetings iii. Other relevant work assigned by the PI iv. Data collection and management
Essential Qualification	Essential: M.Sc. in Physiology/any branch of Life Science, with 55% marks; NET qualified OR with valid GATE score Preferable: The candidate should have hands-on experience of cell-based assays, animal handling, routine biochemical, immunological and molecular biology assays. [Qualifications as per CSIR Guidelines for Research Scheme/Sponsored Schemes; Pl. refer to CSIR-HRDG website: www.csirhrdg.res.in]
Age Limit	28 Yrs
Age Relaxation	The upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to scheduled castes/tribes/OBC, women and physically handicapped candidates.
Fellowship	Junior Research Fellow (JRF)- Rs. 37,000/- p.m.
